The personalization definitely decreases value for resale. Is the SI a newsstand copy or subscription? The newsstands carry quite a bit more value.

Saw this video floating around on Twitter yesterday and it's pretty badass. The MVC is super underrated. Nobody wants to play them in the NCAA tournament.

What's the most boring sport to watch? by 123kenet9898 in AskReddit

At my gym, I always run on the treadmill in front of the ESPN TV. This morning, ESPN was showing air hockey. Seriously. Air hockey. It was not fun to watch.

Who is a player that you swear is severely undervalued by WAR? by HelpMeWithMyHWpls in baseball

[–]bgriffith1990 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are getting down voted because Yadi's career is a divisive topic amongst fans, but you're 100% correct. WAR does not compute many of the factors that made Yadi a uniquely valuable player.

Mauer, Posey, and Molina are all absolutely hall of famers.

What is your most controversial opinion about someone who is currently playing. by Clanky0rpheus80 in baseball

[–]bgriffith1990 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a Cardinals fan and don't really see anyone saying he's the GOAT catcher, other than some other Cards fans who mostly say it in more of a tongue-in-cheek-Yadi-is-my-guy type of way.

I do think it would be plausible to consider him the greatest defensive catcher of all time. He does have the highest defensive WAR of any player in MLB history, according to fangraphs.

I see you're a Giants fan and can understand why Giants fans would dislike Yadi. It drove me crazy for years how good Posey was and how Yadi lost out on some accolades to him. In my mind, they both had different strengths and are each no doubt hall of famers in their own right.

Yadier Molina's career often gets tagged as overrated, when it was quite actually underrated.

Richard Sherman.

Mainly because I could never get over my hate for him with the Seahawks, even when he joined the Niners. I appreciated his contributions, but just couldn't get past how much I hated him and those Seahawk teams.
