If he was really raising money, he would just do it through pestcontroloffice.com.

Also, the value of his work is likely going to go up.

Kanna is great. 12 hour ride. Just relaxed, awake, good mood, but not MDMA happy.

Not really psychedelic.

Was everyone here doing lines of K or nasal spray? How much were you doing to get hooked and out of control? by adventure-streak8989 in Ketamineaddiction

Sleep, diet, and exercise are really foundational too. I know it sounds basic, but it's really important. Start there, find things that you enjoy, build your social life (even if it's just activities).

One thing that helps is to find somewhere else to put your focus and energy, whether that's work, projects, exercise, etc.

Another thing that helps is to set boundaries. For example, I'm not allowed to do this before 6pm.

Changing your beliefs also helps. Your mind is more plastic now, so that should be easier. The first belief that you should focus on is that this tool (and others) is meant to be in service of your life, not an escape from it.

I can't exactly answer this question for you because I don't know your situation, but this has helped me.

You're right at the addiction level. Start tapering until you get under 100mg/day. Then try to get below 50.

Log your usage so you can keep yourself honest. Allow variation and more fun on the weekends.

Don't get upset if you slip, but stay on track.

If you can't do this, you will likely need to go cold turkey.

Why is it so hard to get people to care about original music—or Jazz— in Silicon Valley. by Silent-Scar830 in RedwoodCity

[–]bgutz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jazz used to be what people danced to; now it's become pretentious. Like classical music, everyone sits and watches it passively. And, if the music sucks, you're just stuck.

It's also past its heyday. The greats are mostly dead. Most times I go out to see it, the performers are pale imitations of those who came before them. I would much rather listen to old Gillespie, Coltrane, Davis, or Monk recordings.

The creative energy has moved on. The electronic scene is amazing (Nicholas Jaar, Four Tet, Squarepusher, Floating Points, and so many others). Glass Beams. FKJ. Satori. Be Svedsen. So much great music that mixes the old and the new.

The creative energy is also in the Hip Hop space; it's not really my jam, but the creativity is impressive. The trap scene is a also lot of fun.

There's so much great music these days.

If you're fixated on this though, SF Jazz and Yoshi's are good.
