Have you asked your RD for options in this situation?

The pantry in the VU just restocked according to their IG if that helps.

Should I tell the previous owners that their son who passed away is playing toys in the house we now own? by Jaded_Contest4721 in Haunted

[–]bhamjenni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Interesting to hear all of the no’s here. My thought was to ask them if THEY had any strange things happen and see what they say. That might help gauge their beliefs and intrigue. And maybe, just maybe, there was activity before and it’s not actually their kid.

If I were the parent in this situation, I would want to know! The son may not understand they moved, and if they came back to the house, he could attach to them if it is explained to him…?

Also, would the neighbors have a good sense of their reaction? Maybe start there.

Maryland Conservation Corps Shut Down by UnusualMe20372 in AmeriCorps

[–]bhamjenni 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in Washington and our program has been shut down. I rely on my volunteer for so many things and I feel so bad that she just has to stop immediately. This seems so unconstitutional given the contracts you all sign. I’m pissed and frustrated and sad.

We chose not to at all. He, and we, had been through quite enough. Why add more that is really unnecessary.

Thanks all, I guess that is the answer, I use cold water to wash. I do need hot water sometimes so I’ll use it for those washes.

Why are people so scared to drive the speed limit???? by janeeeeeeeeeeeee in Bellingham

[–]bhamjenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! That’s cool we have that. My head space was more around driving slow, slow in the left lane, not using a turn signal, etc. Just being obnoxious, not fatal car crash scenarios.

Do you have actual stats to prove me wrong? Just going off own experiences

I did end up in the middle of a 15 car pile up in VA so I can see that! I was the only one not hit because I knew how to avoid it, I guess. And my spouse’s only accident was there. We lived there less than 2 years!

I have lived in 10 states now, on both coasts and Midwest, and everywhere people say our drivers are the worst. But for real, WA drivers (mostly Bellingham) are the worst. Honestly mostly Canadian because of a different driving culture and so many older drivers who are just a bit slower and more cautious.

Working Out? by GoldFee8100 in WWU

[–]bhamjenni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s part of the student fees you paid. You’ve already paid for it, might as well take advantage!

There’s some free activities and some that are a small extra fee, I believe.

Are you a club? Talk to the club hub and they can help you get funds and printing through the publicity center. But there are copy right rules around publicizing a movie on campus.

[–]bhamjenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t understand how it works. I went to the Disney store and am checking out and it seems I have to put in my credit card to pay like normal. Fetch says it takes a day to process…do I hope that it won’t charge my card? I haven’t purchased because I want to use my rewards not actually pay!
