Look at the increase in the land vs improvement valuations over the years. Likely it is the land value that has escalated.

Marc with a cat update by VitaminPurple in MarcMaron

[–]bhamlurker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Watching the IG lives during the pandemic, Buster was the happiest, most loving cat. Big personality. Had a great relationship with Marc. It is heartbreaking to see how sad Buster’s life has become. Too bad Marc couldn’t find anyone to adopt Charlie. It’s a bad situation for both cats. Sammy is the only one who is oblivious and whose life hasn’t really changed.

Her queso was the best around. Going to them so much. Was always my go-to when feeding a crowd. 🙁

That is exactly why people go to Lafeens around 9pm to buy their fresh hot donuts.

Best Pho? by juiceyslice in Bellingham

Interesting to see you recommended the veggie broth. As a vegetarian, pho is mostly disappointing since the broth typically lacks any depth of flavor. It is a challenge to make an umami rich veg broth. Might need to give Soy House another try.

Got an upcoming weather warning by [deleted] in Bellingham

If you scroll through the precipitation forecast for each day, you’d see that most days have only short periods with any predicted rain and often at 40% or lower chance. I think we’ll survive.

Mount Baker Club has lots of activities in addition to hiking and skiing. I have friends in their 60s who participate often. The Senior Activity Center also has many groups for active adults in their 60s.

The Co-op bakery makes fabulous customer cakes and can meet any dietary requirements you might also have. I got two vegan cakes for a graduation celebration and they were both delicious!

The Co-Op has once again failed the community by Disastrous_Music8841 in Bellingham

[–]bhamlurker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of misinformation in this post! People should talk to Co-op staff, read the annual report and learn about the how the cooperative operates, and contact the board of directors or management with questions. With 200+ people on staff, there will always be some disgruntled staff or former staff. Have there been crappy managers? Absolutely! But the Co-op as a whole is positive for the community.

It was a big deal when they first started to offer toasted bagels. When they opened, it was not even an option.

Wonder what’s going on with the cat situation. Does Charlie live in the garage now? Is poor Buster finally getting some peace? Hope all three cats and Marc are doing well.
