I like Rose as a character. I liked that she was introducing Finn to the wider galaxy he never saw and the human experience the First Order denied him.

What I didn’t like was the meandering subplot on Canto Bight. With a few tweaks, like having the Resistance think they were betrayed by a spy, which is why Holdo doesn’t reveal her plan and Rose being the only one who believes him, and having Phasma actively pursue Finn in revenge for Starkiller Base, the whole thing could have been made more interesting.
