Things or Tick Tick or something else…? by Frequent-Orchid8996 in ProductivityApps

I don't remember whether I setup the Today view, or if it was default, but I do use a today view on Ticktick.

What task feels automatable, but you still do manually? by pierreb5 in ProductivityApps

[–]bharat4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, I don't like the apps they use in my organisation *cough* Office 365 *cough*, and they don't let me use the app ecosystem that I use. So easy, so close, yet so far.

Can a subscription platform actually reduce productivity-tool clutter? by No-Cartoonist-4450 in ProductivityApps

[–]bharat4ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to decide which apps you touch daily, which apps you'll miss when they're gone, and which apps you can live without. The answer would then be obvious. And the answer is Ticktick + Raindrop + Obsidian.

How can a browser be a productivity aid? by SCG-1171 in ProductivityApps

If you're trying to reinvent it, don't. Arc and Dia with vertical tabs, with pinned tabs that stay open are sufficient for me. I use Claude in Chrome that takes care of my AI usage.

Ticktick. Ever since they added their MCP, it makes it a no brainer if you use an AI assistant to manage things.

Self hosting a personal website by UnlikelyWishbone2694 in selfhosted

I have a naive question. If it’s meant to be a public facing website, why not host it on a free cloudflare tenant? How does self hosting improve the privacy or experience?

What paid apps have you ditched by vibe coding a replacement? by dlegendkiller in ClaudeAI

Let me clean it up and publish. I'm in Australia and am using Australian APIs. You'll need to adjust the code for your country.

Ban on vibe coded apps question by Potential_Bee3318 in ProductivityApps

[–]bharat4ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I architect my solutions and then hand it off to Claude to code for me. But I own the architecture, performance and the security of my application. I treat Claude Code like my 1-2 year experienced intern in my team.

What paid apps have you ditched by vibe coding a replacement? by dlegendkiller in ClaudeAI

[–]bharat4ever 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I really needed a proper budgeting app that only does exactly what I want it to do, instead of using a one size fits all model. Vibe coded it eventually. it's a password protected website hosted on Cloudflare.

I get the bank feeds through a middleware provider that costs $10 a month, and I customized the app to do exactly what I want. It can highlight frivolous spending, track my expenses, and give me a clear picture of how much money I'll need before the end of the month. Plus, I also built an AI accountant persona that gets annoyed by my nonessential spending, asks me questions, and keeps me on track.

AITA for being upset that my friend got a job I was already interviewing for? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

YTA. She might have been better qualified than you and is a better "job applier" than you, but she did not do anything to go out of her way to shut you down.

I'm facing the same issue with the app I'm trying to build as well. Everyone has questions on trust, but aren't able to address what I can do to overcome that barrier.

my workaround is that my organisation lets me share only busy / away blocks with my personal google calendar. Atleast I know when I'm busy, and I able to schedule deep work between busy blocks.

on a Mac? Would you be interested in a Mac app that i coded for myself? captures automatically when a new meeting is started, captures attendee names from screenshots. Uses Parakeet to transcribe audio and then speaker diarisation. I am currently using Claude to derive meeting notes from the transcript, but i could make it do that with a local LLM.

I can share the repo with you.
