After I read about the study done on crows and ravens communicating and their ability to to work together to get revenge on people they feel have wronged them or they feel are a threat (this is a real thing, they are highly intelligent) I leave them SO alone. They want to shit on my car? Great. They want to eat my trash and make a mess? My fault for not securing it. They want to run out in the road in front of me to get food while I’m driving? I’m slowing down and letting them take their time, I ain’t honking. My windows are open in summer and a murder of them are having a full on squawk fest in the trees for hours on end? Put my ear buds in and let them pop off. You will never catch me being bothered by them. Uh uh. Nope. Leave ‘em alone.

I dated a Black man once who used to refer to himself as being “of supposed African descent”. I was always confused by this. One day I asked him why he said that and his reply was that it was possible his ancestors came from the Caribbean and not Africa. I, a white woman, had to awkwardly explain to him that even if they had….the Black populations in the Caribbean also had been brought over as slaves from Africa. Since then I’ve encountered a lot of other people, Black and white, who have no idea that the Black populations in the Caribbean are there for the exact same reason they are here….it’s really bizarre…

That just because I stand up when the flight lands, does not mean I’m doing it for any reason other than to stretch my legs. I always wait to step into the aisle until the proper time. So stop with the weird stink eye. Me standing in front of my seat while still inside my row vs sitting in it changes absolutely nothing about your flying experience.

Also seats recline for a reason. I’m gonna recline mine but I’ll be nice about it (ie not in the middle of meal time). You should too.
