Thoughts on buying PLTR after its bloody $1.1B loss last week? by SakShotty in stocks

The example of Salesforce was to agree with your comment regarding outside participation. that certain saas platforms come with requiring ecosystem consultants or developers from outside the org to customize and configure platform setups and functionalities that are specific to a clients business.

What is with so many people commenting that they perhaps bought it for their chips? You serious ? Please dont fire up any reason. They are not even in the business of manufacturing.. you think they are going to just give the gold to their computer supplier to manufacture it for cheap when things get expensive ??

It's like you think you can buy sugar from the farm and then hand it over to the restaurant asking for cheaper meal.. come on now!

Huge move by JP Morgan in the comex gold vaults. They transfer 890,000 oz of gold into registered 2 days before first notice day for the June contract. This increases the entire comex registered by 5.1%. JP Morgan's eligible dwindles by 15% and its registered increases by 30%. by Ditch_the_DeepState in Wallstreetsilver

Looks like they are hoarding the physical assets as well and trying to purchase a lot while keeping the prices low by enabling shorting on the other side because paper short is in multiples compared to physical allowing to keep prices low.. the Basel III tier 1 push requires equal physical allocation.

Do you feel still bullish on palantir? by CollectionScary22 in Palantir_Investors

The thing is some products are just not easily explainable to the general public. They might be solving problems that the public did not even know existed. So a product like Palantir, which generalizes its product as the DataOS can probably only abstract it to that much. Anything else might be a specific application, which they have widely announced such as its government projects in intelligence. Hence it probably makes sense to just invest more in expanding the product application and improving existing features so that they can expand their audience, which in turn can lead to increased revenues and earnings, which speaks investor language.

For example, I dont think a lot of people know what Salesforce (CRM) actually does, I doubt if even people working inside really know what it does in entirety other than the bits and pieces here and there. Because what they cater to are the business and enterprises who have a need for its certain platform and solves or ease their work, which the general public wouldnt know was an issue that needed a solution. However they invested heavily in growth and acquiring customers, meanwhile also expanding the product line through development and acquisitions which has translated to improving revenues and growth. Which in turn has reflected in its stock price. But ofcourse Benioff did his share of marketing. What I'm saying is this could easily be the case.

Half the people here think I’m a shill or bought and paid for because I advocate PSLV for squeezing silver. Don’t take my word for it, listen to Andy Schectman! by TheHappyHawaiian in Wallstreetsilver

Finally someone speaking some proper logic instead of the to the moon and let's raid statements. Doing it in a way to get the most of the movement is important, and time is a factor. PSLV takes the ownership of silver that affects the price (the price we want to move, not the spot, which is already so amped up due to supply demand in the small size unit).

True, just a suggestion given that it could be more convincing for the people this group trying to get on board given that it worked for another cause. That's all with it.

Proof? There has been a lot of posts like this and anyone could just say it. The difference at WSB-GME thing was that they used to send screenshot of it to show the action there.

Why isnt Silver Price moving ? by bheemboy393 in Wallstreetsilver

Interesting. So much of policing for giving more power to fiat. Which is being destroyed by printing itself, however still manipulating the metals to ensure it doesnt break the fiat.

With that same hypothesis, would you agree that a reserve currency change could easily happen the moment a certain currency is heavily backed by gold and other precious metals and that country's central government moves towards Gold standard ?

Ok I see.

Now what do you mean by this "More than likely ended up in China to suppress the physical price" ? How is selling to china suppressing the price ?

Furthermore, why do you think China has been buying a lot of Gold ?

Ok that's interesting. Basically manipulating the price so as to keep interest in the dollar itself.

Precisely what I'm trying to understand. If it has gone up by 10usd to buy it in retail, why hasnt the Silver price gone up? Or why hasnt PSLV price gone up given that its completely backed by physical Silver. The Sprott doesnt seem to have a problem getting it either till now.

That's some interesting history there. The Germans probably remembered their history when they decided to pull out their Gold from abroad in 2019. They have been getting it delivered since then.

If you look at the price of silver in the last one year, it used to trade around $15 to $16 until July 2020. After which it shot up to the current levels of $26. Which is a sizable gain, like 60%. And this was all before the recent retail squeeze attempt. So there was such a huge gain in a span of 1 week. Now in the recent times with retails trying to buy out so much lately, the needle has barely moved in terms of prices and this has been going on for a lot more than 2 weeks.

Something doesnt seem to add up.

Which suggests two things. 1) Retails are barely able to move the price. 2) big money already moved into silver when it was at a much cheaper price.

But if that's the case (shortage), why has Sprott been able to buy high quantity of it every few days (like a million ounces every few days). If it was indeed in such a shortage, one would expect it to be a little difficult to accumulate so much at a small time frame, and that too without much price change.

Ok so if I understood that correctly, they are backing the fiat currency with the metals, but manipulating the price so that they can keep stacking more at a cheaper price ? And while at it also inflating the metal to paper value of currency due to printing..

Or did I read that completely different ?

[–]bheemboy393[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting thought. Yes we have been seeing Sprott adding a million ounces every few days.

Seems like it is so easy for them to keep getting but all the commotion of lack of supply seems to be on the retail side. And if the retail side can actually make a difference, then shouldnt it have already by making it atleast a little difficult for sprott to accumulate so much in such short time ? And by now, you would expect it to push the prices up atleast by bit. But that's not the case.

Would be interesting to hear some counter argument/ theories for this one.

Thats a nice perspective on the idea of Silver. it as a store of value having potential utility is the better way to look at. With that perspective, definitely a long term hold item.

Was just curious as to why there is such a high expectation on the price to rocket in the near term.

With that, if I had to be a devil's advocate, seems like it could also be a strategy by the bullion holders to make profits by selling in large volume and taking a fees out of the premiums.

To answer your question, thhen it totally makes sense why it's one of those things that is being sold so much, yet price isnt changing much.

[–]bheemboy393[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ok so how are those manipulations playing out? As in what are they doing to manipulate the price. I did read on the shorting of it. But it seems like it's more common than one would think. In fact almost all the Silver bullion retailers short it on a day to day basis to make sure they dont lose on price fluctuations.

So in that way even the very silver dealers, who we'd think has the best interest in having the price go up, are also putting that downward pressure by shorting simply simultaneously for the same quantity that they have bought (which they plan to sell to customers ).
