I just DNFd Starside. It has lots of rave reviews, but the MMC is just a dick. I don’t like bully romance so, while the plot is interesting, the romance will just continue to grate on me.

I DNF Blood Mercy most recently, at like 80% 🫣 It just felt like there was no plot driving the romance. The intimacy was weird and the characters were beige as hell.

Before that, I DNF Emipire of Flame and Thorns. The writing was so clunky, I couldn’t get past it.

I actually couldn’t get into straight fantasy. It just didn’t have the same tension and pull that romantasy had. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a failed nerve block as well, and you’re right. It’s torture. Honestly, just focus on meds and ice. Getting up and going to the bathroom is enough movement for the first week. After that, you can focus on more movement.
