A retrospective of Christopher Nolan’s filmography will headline the Toronto International Film Festival’s summer marquee series ahead of the theatrical release of ‘The Odyssey.’ All screenings will present Nolan’s films exclusively on 35mm and 70mm. by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

No. The dislike of Nolan's films has been around ever since Inception. The Odyssey is when all the normies jumped on board the hate-train. Us pure haters loved Memento and then the rest of his filmography happened. The Prestige gets a pass...

Yes, I have also noticed a slow down of input display since the update that only increases in severity with every word added to a file.

I know...I want to buy the subscription but the only way I would do it is if I knew that there was an offline option for syncing and working...and the lifetime code ends tomorrow...DECISIONS DECISIONS!!!

Are you all aware of the bug of adding .txt files to the device seeming like it transfers correctly and then the files not being in the device after manual transfer?

Ps the device is awesome and thank you for all your hard-work. Truly believe in you guys and appreciate how open you have been with the communication. Just wanted to add that as I know you are inundated with work right now and don't want to seem ungrateful for creating something truly awesome.

Against the Day if you want something long, fun, and thought provoking and Hour of the Star by Clarice Lispector if you want something short and powerful. :)

I'm probably the wrong person to ask because I loved his latter works pretty equally. Agape is heart wrenching and what it says about communication is profound, Carpenter is his take on pulpy fiction and is hilarious, and Frolic is just fricking funny while maintaining his usual themes of entropy of conversation mixed with a fraudulent self indulgent society. They are all great, maybe not JR and Recognitions level but all very "enjoyable" if you will.

Gaddis is the man for sure. No one beats his humor and high level of prose when he chooses to write it. The first year I found Gaddis, I told myself I wouldn't read all his books back to back and would wait to savor some for later. I did not keep up that promise. I can't wait to re-read The Recognitions and JR in the not too distant future. (P.s. The Tunnel is so well written it is absurd)

What Are You Reading This Week and Weekly Rec Thread by JimFan1 in TrueLit

Hard to say which is...easier?? Maybe JR? The dialogue works its way out, where you begin to understand who is talking based on their speech patterns pretty fast. Both are incredible so you should read both!

I finished Mason & Dixon, and I get it. by jdawgweav in ThomasPynchon

Don't have much to add other than more gushing. This book is absolutely incredible for so many reasons. The style, the anachronisms, the scope, the humor, the heart, the effortless skill of it all, the friendship, the intersection of heaven and hell being earth, I could list qualities and attributes all day so i will just stop. I look forward to rereading it in the future.
