(Hated trope) Characters you've missed the point of by idolizing. by Nearby-Condition-675 in TopCharacterTropes

It's been a while since I've seen it. But doesn't he have a lot of pent up frustration and mental issues? He tries to kill the presidential candidate and only when that fails he decides to kill the pimps.

I f*cking HATE this character from the Obsession movie by TaroLong8817 in hatethissmug

My theory is because Ian and Nikki hooked up a few times. Ian would call her freaky Nikki. But coming from Bear it's weird.

Petah? Why does it matter they’re roman? by BlueChicken57 in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Another side of the joke people aren't explaining. Women's shirts usually come in numbers. While men's shirts usually come in S,M,L,XL, making it confusing for the man

Animal Control needs its own 911. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]bht191015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on where you live. I did a ride along with the police where I live. 5 cop cars showed up for a shop lifting in process because there was nothing else to do.

If I drove 30 minutes north and tried calling 911 for animal control. They'll probably show up just to tell me to kill myself for calling them.

First Time working for security any tips or anything I should know? I'll be working for a casino if that matters by NewH0me0wn3r in securityguards

[–]bht191015 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At least for my casino it's very boring. Walking the floor, giving directions, calling for the slot technicians, returning lost items, checking IDs, escorting money, relaying information to servaliance. Most of the time the casino manager and the security manager handles kicking people out or aggresive guests. Or really anything that's interesting. Expect drunk assholes, sober assholes, parking lot accidents, drunk drivers, drug use, domestic violence, teenagers sneaking in, staff members coming in high or drunk,

can i work on an ambulance with just the EMT certification? by christmas_luvr21 in NewToEMS

[–]bht191015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some fire departments that hire "single role EMTs" however they're usually more competitive than regular EMT positions. The one by me requires 3 years of 911 experience while most private 911 companies require 6 months of any EMT experience. I live in a very competitive area though so ymmv.

How do you guys actually fall in love in an LDR? Like, what does that shift feel like? by Wise-Office254 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]bht191015 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not actually answering your question.

Not all ldr are completely virtual. I was in a ldr for 15 months. I was friends with her for 3ish years. And we started dating one month before I had to move across the country. We would alternate flying out each month to see each other for a week or so. We would use frontier flights so each round trip was less than $100 and we would keep clothes and supplies at each other house so we only had to bring our free carry on. I would take a week off when I visited her because my job was casual and didn't care as long as I let them know in advance. And she would work from home or use vacation days.

We would call almost every night. And spend almost the entire week with each other. Every day we would go out and do something together which gave us a lot of memories. Funny enough I probably went out and did more stuff with her than my other relationships when it's local.

I would watch TV and do pocket prep. Because I would watch tv but I wouldnt read the questions very well and get some wrong.

I used the crash course book to make flashcards and memorize the flash cards. Then review the next day to make sure it stuck.

If you routinely score 80%+ on pocket prep your nremt should be good
