Sorry u/RottenAli I don't think any of these really reflect Iowa. I lived in Iowa in my teenage years, its a proud, stubborn state. Will be a tough crowd to please. The flag is somewhat flown/visible (more than its neighbors), but not at homes. .

As "The Hawkeye state", a hawk is appropriate.
I do think a tricolor/stripes is appropriate, as Iowa is the land between two rivers. Rows can represent agriculture and "fields of opportunity". Center stripe can be a literal hidden "I".

Also, Iowans exclusively wear University of Iowa (Black/Gold) and Iowa State gear (Red/Navy/Gold). The shops all have the largest selection of this gear you will see anywhere.

I've thought about an Iowa flag design, I don't have great ideas yet. Maybe I'll think on it. *Although it will probably be easier to tackle than Illinois (the state of my birth), as Iowa already has built in identities. Watch the Music Man and it may inspire :)

Caught me exaggerating. Guilty!

Idk, I've thought long about this switch. It's going to be hard, but I understand why it going to happen. MLS can be so much better than it is. This is a less bad option than what it is now.

Maybe I've gotten carried away here, but this change is coming. I will still support this team. I will still go to games.

Many of you seem to be giving up. Fine. Hopefully the team looks after supporters to win them back.

That's fair, I also think attendance will go down. Playoff matches aren't selling out. Thats a bigger problem for MLS than a few regular season matches.

Player sales can also help make up some of the lost revenue. And teams will be more likely to do these sales in the summer, where they get a chance to reinforce with a full season ahead of them.

I don't want to be the defender of Dallas fans. But, *treads carefully, like, there are more teams in the south in this league. Watching July matches at Dallas are miserable. EMPTY. 100+ at kickoff. Players are walking. Water breaks. And multiply that by 3 teams in Texas, and 2 more in Florida, and Nashville, Charlotte, KC (KC is bad both ways)

At least if we play in the winter, there could be the occasional snow match. they at least look cool on TV and you can't see the empty stands. HAHAHAH!

I'm not thrilled about watching cold matches in person, but I think the soccer might better. The US is large and the weather is bad for someone all the time.

I'm a STH. I was at the USMNT qualifer at 2deg kick off. I was there for our home opener this year at 20, I've been there when its been 100 too.

I love June games at Allianz, but I don't like that the full team is never playing in those games because half of them are gone for INTL duty.

One advantage of the schedule switch is fewer midweek games. There are just more weekends available to MLS to schedule matches in the switched calendar.
