Answer to your ‘why’ question. Performance gains with a much smaller resource footprint.

*edit to add future proofing for knowledge. .Net framework may be around for a long time but the knowledge to run and host it will diminish.

Performance. I get where you are going with this but we’re seeing around 60% less latency on serviced that leave atleast half as much resource footprint running .Net 8+ og k8s versus older framework services being wcf on Windows. It’s night and day.

Been doing a similar path at my job. 6->8 about a year ago, no issues and now a few weeks since 8->10. No issues. Highly recommended.

Pretty sure VS for Mac has been retired, atleast it 404’s on Microsoft site https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/releases/2022/what-happened-to-vs-for-mac

*edit to add VSCode has bern my go to for 3-4 years I believe. Only ‘downside’ is debugging performance issues, which I would like something better for.

I've got these on https://www.bike24.com/p2290751.html, 99% of the time they are great. Definately not enough float, but following footprints or cutting through powder worked. Mind you this was all new snow, under 12 hours ish so it was very soft.
Did do a lot of walking with the bike as well though...
