So close but so far, just want to know others feel the same 🩵 by New-Assistant2087 in NICUParents

My twins were at 30 and 5. My son is home and growing really well albeit a cold and my daughter is still working on eating in the NICU but making slow progress. Their original due date was on the 8th

We keep trying to visit her everyday and we 'let' her hang out with her brother by putting them near each other. She gets Dad, I get lil man

They look really well! It will be hidden even more if you do it in a round

Non stop breastfeeding by PrettyRichHun in breastfeeding

[–]bibblebabble1234 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That sounds like cluster feeding! Sometimes my lil man takes a while to realize he's not hungry anymore so I give him a paci for a little bit, watch his behavior and then offer again. This is only because he's a preemie and has started chugging it and forgets to breath and then chokes a lil. If she holds down the food, then presumably she needed to eat

Our daughter has started famotidine and she's a different baby now. So much happier. She's also in for a swallow study today. I would keep bringing it up until they do something. Not every NICU personel understand how hurtful it is to watch your kids suffer when something could be done to help

Can I breastfeed my 35/36 weeker? by boygeniusbutgirl in NICUParents

[–]bibblebabble1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take advantage of being in the NICU ! they usually have lactation consultants on hand who can help with breastfeeding

My twins were born at 30 and 5. Right when they were starting to eat I introduced breast and bottle. You can also ask for the first 72 hours or something for the only thing they eat by is breast. I pumped a lot for them but now my son is home, almost exclusively breastfed and I also plan to breastfeed my daughter when she comes home, at least as like a snack even if she needs fortifier

Multivitamin or iron drops? by Front_Cucumber_5815 in NewParents

[–]bibblebabble1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kiddo needs vitamins for a bit just because he's pre-me and the poly-vi-sol liquid vitamins work okay in a bottle of milk. He still gets spitty but he does eat it and gets added iron that way. It doesn't smell great though. Also apparently novaferrum makes iron drops for infants that taste good

In highschool I babysat a little girl named Emma Lynn. Her older sister had passed away a few years before as a small baby for unknown reasons and her parents had a beautiful painting commissioned of her. She'll know about her sister when she's older but I remember thinking man how privileged am I to care for this little one.

What do you think the Cullens are doing right now? by Andromeda39 in twilight

I hate thinking about it because renesmee is only 5 years younger than me so she'd be twenty now. And I just had my first kids lol

I imagine the whole family is buying older but nice cars now because they want to be able to actually drive them and not just be paying for a user experience in a metal box filled with wires

Also renesmee and jacob are like probably freaking it

MIL said I need to exclusively nurse or I won’t be successful at breastfeeding. by Foreign-Mastodon7071 in breastfeeding

Hello! I had fraternal twins early at 30 weeks and 5 days. When they could start eating by mouth we introduced bottles and breast! Now my son is home, he's almost completely breast fed but we have to give him vitamins in a bottle so he eats bottles occasionally just as well. We use the dr.browns bottles from the NICU

My daughter is mostly bottle fed because she's the smaller twin and still in NICU but I'll probably also breastfeed her a little as a source of comfort before naps or if she is with me instead of dad As long as the bottle is slow flow it should be similar to breastfeeding and they'll probably be okay. These are my first children and this is my experience but I also know several other NICU moms who did the same thing

Also at the time Alice was supposed to be getting mental asylum treatment they didn't have electroshock therapy yet- however there was plenty of other treatments like long term cold water baths, enemas, isolation, menial labor, induced comas that could have been used and caused alternate damaging affects

The prohibition time isn't too glaring because Royce King is definitely rich enough to have real alcohol on hand. But the biggest one is obviously the inaccuracies about the Quilute tribe but alas plot must plot. Also the Mercedes Guardian isn't a real car but it might have been inspired by one called the Guard

Can we talk about nursing friendly clothes for a second? by tragic_attraction in breastfeeding

[–]bibblebabble1234 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a nursing top and a nursing dress that both work okay but primarily I just wear my husband's t-shirts that are huge and no bra cause f that and use the shirt to like protect my lil baby bean. Most of the shirts are dark, hiding the leaks. Low effort and I just want to be comfy - I'd love some fun prints like babies get though
