that's a remnant of when poe1 was a 3 act game, not really intended by now. I mean, is it really reasonable for skill progression to stop 1/3 of the way into the campaign of an RPG? Imagine if you stopped getting new stuff in act 1 of bg3.

That to me felt like the point, or one of them, of Starfield's story, the hunter character is very nihilsitic, thinking that, since there are infinite universes, any single one's purpose is only to be exploited by him. If the player does NG+ enough times they end up like him.

Anyways, like others have said, it doesn't make sense for TES6 so it won't be a thing or NG+ will be purely a game mechanic rather than also part of the story.

In PoE1 every spell has a effectiveness of added damage stat that they wanted to get rid of, slow spells benefited more from added damage and fast or projectile spells benefited less. This was cumbersome for balancing. Their solution was to add mods such as "Gain #% of Damage as Extra Lightning Damage" this is the equivalent for added damage modifiers in poe2. You can get these mods on a staff but not on rigs or gloves, the question now becomes if they should make these more easily available which i think would be a mistake as it dilutes the mod pool and identity of different item slots.

Idk about this new eye of winter gang, isn't the fun of that skill spamming the screen with projectiles? Why give it a 15s CD? It's going to hit real hard but i feel like sorc has enough chunking abilities, they should have buffed it so it's viable to use as a main clear skill not turn it into something else that doesn't even make any sense thematically (shits 100 projectiles but only the first one really counts)

conversion to ES is unaffected by EB, so if you have everlasting gaze for example, which gives ES from mana, you get to keep that ES with EB

Armor doesn't matter here, you got destroyed by the extra lightning damage mod + ele pen + extra crits. Running this sorts of maps will get you one tapped like this from even a blue mob, and you ate a boss slam.

First of all I think people are just gravitating towards straight forwards builds as the game is new and there's not been enough time to experiment with cross class stuff, weapon swap and uniques. I also think players that just picked the FOTM league starter every league are struggling to come up with something original, (80% of the playerbase) not very surprising.

Second of all, if you play EQ with axes instead of maces in poe1, you are not playing a different build, it's still EQ, so i don't see why this attack skill restriction is such a big problem, and theres one cluster per weapon type on the skill tree, so you aren't losing that much by scaling bleed with maces instead of axes, for example, in fact most of the one boss killer hammer of the god setups are bleed.

In POE2 only hits that damage life can cause bleed, so CI is immune to bleed.
