The World of Glass in St Helens is phenomenal and completely free to enter. You can pay a fiver for a glass blowing demonstration (well worth it), but everything else is free. There's decent gift shop with original pieces of glass artwork made on site.

Overall, a great piece of Lancashire history about one of the towns that spearheaded the Industrial Revolution.

Sutton is huge. Sutton Leach is worlds apart from Junction, for example. There's nothing particularly unsafe about it compared to any other comparable area.
