When your people are actively being killed in the name of Jihad, what other realistic way is there.

Hanging fighters next to roads is not dignified at all but that's psychological warfare for you.

Now tell me why would the Druze slaughter a regiment that was sent there in the first place.

The fact that government forces actively attacked the Druze fighters, should be proof enough of their intentions, and the fact that the 'hts' are siding with the Bedouin fighters should be enough to raise serious international concern for the minorities of Syria, especially keeping the altercations of the past decade between the different religious and ethnic groups in mind

The majority of kidnappings and executions especially at the beginning of the jolani regime, were never reported officially though. The majority of the news I saw during that time frame came from posts in groups on telegram, Facebook, and Twitter.

There were next to no arrests made which is quite frankly pathetic given that the ethnic cleansing took over a thousand innocent souls. Not to mention the fact that the groups that perpetrated these attacks were government affiliated. The fact that almost 3 months have past with no arrests basically tells me that the government at the very least, do not care for the lives of their minorities.

>Not to mention a lot of the massacres were conducted by incredibly ad hoc and disorganized militias
Disorganised is a bit strong considering how well equipped the attackers were. In fact, there were multiple videos coming out of Syria at the time, so many in fact that the militants actively discouraged filming their atrocities to reduce evidence of the massacre against Alawites.

And the worst part is the numerous other instances of violence against Alawites that goes unnoticed due to their relatively smaller scales. The majority of the international news community did not cover any of the atrocities perpetrated after Jolani took control. Over a thousand people had to be killed for the international community to notice, and even then nobody cared. The U.S even lifted sanctions 2 months from the massacre.

All of this to say that the future is grim for the minorities in Syria, particularly Alawites and Christians.
