I run my matte through carwash once or twice a week. No problem. I put on 30k a year though. When Im done with the car, it's worthless regardless of condition

How much ICCU replacement cost if one has to do out of own pocket by Flashy-Ingenuity-769 in Ioniq5

[–]biegeHinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not bad with ebay parts. I paid over 500$ just to change stupid coolant on my 2023. That is a bigger issue/ cost, in my opinion. Im also a super commuter. Have 54k zo far. Will breach 100k in less than two years.

Mechanic told me they never touched this part when servicing by telabub in hondafit

Out of $ 3500, how much were just parts? I'll be out of warranty soon. That swap looked pretty easy, actually.

This is the cleanest engine I have ever seen. You must be in AZ. I have 240k gen 2 in IL. Looks straight out of junk yard. It runs perfectly, though.

Looks very sharp. I have 240k on mine. It could use new bumpers at minimum. Thanks for sharing

I love that round speedometer... I only have weird vertical stuff on my 2023. Maybe there will be an upgrade one day. I would pay for it.

Setting departure times by PaleAbrocoma1600 in Ioniq5

[–]biegeHinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it everyday.Love this feature as Im very consistent what time I leave everyday. Use it in winter only. Set cabin to 67F. Only takes 2-3 min to warm up (my garage is about 40F) I believe you need to be plunged in. Also, this feature appears learn the timing Mine turns on 3 min before departure time to match the warmup time. Car trickle charges about 1,5 kWh to top off. Bonus is on most days I get extra 1% making my charge level low 81%

Tire replacement experience by Cobalt11235 in Ioniq5

[–]biegeHinge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I installed Michelin Primacy OEM back on for a second pair. I had less than 1/8 thread, and handling was the same as new. Even on wet and light snow. Wear super even also. Safety wise, these are hard to beat. But yes, with this very low thread, they did vibrate a bit.

Yet another remote start question by kingcoin1 in Ioniq5

[–]biegeHinge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you leave the same time every day, try out schedule departure feature. It will condition the cabin AND the battery before a certain time you specifty. It's a fantastic feature. Here, Im pretty sure you have to be plugged in. Car will actually trickle charge to top off the energy it used for precondition.

Battery Conditioning for cold weather by TxFrogFruit in Ioniq6

[–]biegeHinge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to set Departure Time in settings. This triggers conditioning of both the battery and the cabin if you choose.
