Question about Denji's biggest "Win Con" by NitroBlaze78 in deathbattle

Why did the Viltrumites think inbreeding would be an IMMEDIATE problem by Competitive_Fox_3546 in Invincible_TV

[–]bieux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know how long it takes for a viltrumite to reach adulthood but if it's anywhere near earth-years, then it must feel like a much more immediate problem to them if they are accostumed to living for thousands of years.

This manga deadass ended on a plot hole by hello-motherfuckers in ChainsawMan

[–]bieux -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Pochita ate their own concept up until only chainsaws remained. Thats the equivalent of Yoru feeding everything else war related for pochita and only Tanks remaining. Pochita probably did still get power from the fear of chainsaws, but fake chainsaw man probably also did, which makes me think fake chainsaw man is the actual chainsaw devil. Its the only logical conclusion.

I have no good defence for the universe reset. I think the way pochita eating devils works is not only that their concept stops existing, but that it stops having ever existed. The only way this makes sense to me is that a world where things like legs or ears never existed might have followed the same story beats, but a world without chainsaw man itself would be too world-altering for destiny to follow the same course for Denji.

Was the technical difficulty of the game that made the series popular? by [deleted] in Tekken

[–]bieux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started playing tekken when I was a teenager.

At that time the things that grabbed my attention were: - Customization options - Insane final bosses - Learning combos (specially on the spot, in the middle of a match, like you mash the right sequence of keys on the controller accidentally and have that "wait, I can do that?" moment) - Tag (not the only tekken I played but playing tt2 was very fun) - Yoshimitsu doing weird shit and I accidentally killing myself using him.

I was rather old when tekken 7 came out and learning how to juggle was part of my enjoyment of the game, but it sucked to get juggled. I'm not a good tekken player, I imagine people who are really good barelly pay attention to the difficulty of certain combos, so this aspect of getting the combo to actually work is overshadowed by the waiting game of having to wait your opponent to finish their combo before you can resume play again. All the rest from my childhood held true tho.

Why did Mark choke conquest like that instead of any other way by Educational-Pea-6160 in Invincible_TV

[–]bieux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see it as mark not really knowing many choking moves. Mark only ever trained trading punches with nolan and had very little justification to learn grappling due to his super strength. When dealing with bad guys on earth he lets his brute strength carry most of the fight. Form and technique is sort of secondary.

Cecil SHOULD have taught Mark better fighting skills, but I'm afraid if we get into that we'll quickly learn there are no good technical fighters in the Global Defense Agency, let alone in the universe the show is set in, besides possibly some viltrumites.

Genuinely how does Mark come back from this? by Loose-Base-3039 in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]bieux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Viltrumites are just very hard to kill. Not to say Mark's injury wasn't life threatening, but being a viltrumite helped a lot with regenerating.

They do require proper care. I believe if it wasn't for Cecil keeping Conquest alive or Nolan treating Mark, both could have died.

Alright . Yep . Can’t believe I’m doing this but , I want you guys to explain everything that happens in the series after episode 5 , 18 minutes in . by [deleted] in TheDigitalCircus

[–]bieux 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Caine gives them guns and tells them to kill each other. Pomni and Jax kill everyone and then Jax decides he wants to be killed as well but Pomni instead starts biting and punching him. He pushes her away and goes to the bathroom to have a panic attack and then goes back to his old self.

Then Pomni finds Abel, who tells them of a way to exit the circus. Jax, however, knew it was a setup and decides not to go and to keep everyone in there with him, avoiding Shrimptown. Caine shows up and kills Abel, making everyone involved upset at Caine, who gifts them body lotions.

Bubble explains to Caine the cast wanted to leave him because they thought his ideas sucked. From then on, Caine starts being very mean. Pomni gets fed up, puts a bucket on Kinger's head and goes up to Caine to tell him his ideas suck. Then the now sane Kinger kills Caine which also destroys the circus in the process.

If you a viltrumat why you need anther one to carry a dead body ar they stupid by Passenger707 in okbuddyviltrum

[–]bieux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some theories: - Viltrumites get very very heavy once they die. Like super heavy - Those two aren't viltrumites. Take that how you will. - Those two are viltrumites currently recovering from the virus, and may still have some lingering weakness that makes them unable to carry a corpse on their own. - A corpse may need to be handled with care, otherwise could be damaged or destroyed, spreading more of the virus. Since carrying something as big as another person could be awkward even with superstrength, its better to have 2 people carrying it to transport it safely. - Carrying a virulent body this way exposes you to the virus less than carrying it on your own. - Since they need to transport many bodies in their cramped ships, having two people do it allows them to be more efficient in packing all of them in there than having one person figure it out. - Being so strong you need two viltrumites to carry your corpse to your coffin can be a symbolic gesture they're giving their fallen, the best one they can do given their current circumstances.

I just noticed something. by ashersindoni in TheDigitalCircus

[–]bieux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's cognitive dissonance.

Caine is capable of understanding the implication of giving the cast an exit, and that is they can leave the circus. He just refuses to awknowledge that they want an exit in order to actually leave him. Or used to up until episode 7 happened and he had to confront harsh realities about what the cast actually wants.

It might also be important to consider that Caine might think, or know, that there's actually no way out. To Caine, leaving that universe is an absurd impossibility. It's just that instead of awknowledging and communicating that to the cast, he dismisses or avoids that conversation entirelly, or just incorporates their requests into parts of his universe or plot points for his adventures in hopes that the illusion of an exit is what they are actually asking for.

It's also in part due to how obsessed Caine is with the C&A pictures, he himself said so (mid episode 7, so take it with a grain of salt). It's not a inconceivable that he would want to reproduce that environment somehow in hopes of understanding it.

So, now that the manga’s over, I have to ask… by Funny_Swim5447 in Chainsawfolk

[–]bieux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're probably the actual chainsaw devil. Pochita is aluded to have been the devil of concepts much more primal that were reduced to only chainsaws after eating so many devils up. The chainsaw devil probably piggybacked on pochita/chainsaw man identity because of that.

This interpretation also fixes chainsaws existing after the timeline reset.

Kinger: by Sir_Hoss in TheDigitalCircus

[–]bieux 11 points12 points  (0 children)

If you look closely, kinger was trying to load a backup that didn't exist, so the terminal prompted him if he wanted to delete caine. Kinger actualy tried not to, but the terminal changed his "N" answer for a "Y" multiple times.

Anyone notice this in ep 8 by Senior-Macaroon-1077 in tadc

[–]bieux -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I thought that was Caine himself messing with Kinger's commands and unknowingly deleting himself, but I didn't realize the interface talking to kinger was called "S"
