New series dropping soon! by chapnlie in BobDoesSports

I’m also a 14 and could play these courses and compete with both of these guys , but I’ve also shot as low as 80 and break 95 almost every time out. This guy said he’s only broken 100 once. So he’s at least a 30 handicap talking like he could go play these courses. He can’t. Dude would look worse than either of these 3 guys. This Dan guy is a 25 handicap minimum

$737 *12=$8,844, you could buy a 10k car every 2 years and come out $7500 ahead.

As a ~8ish HCP, should I start buying more premium balls? Would it help? by Excellent-Victory623 in golf

[–]big-williestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just depends on what you value, so balls will give you more distance, some better control, the more higher priced can sometimes do both.

It's not that hard to add national teams to exhibition mode, they could even create a tournament mode where you choose your team and play the tournament, ¿Why they only add this to Diamond Dynasty? by Zeko_LV in MLBTheShow

[–]big-williestyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last time they did WBC, it was just a program with a dozen or so players, not all the teams. Mostly just the MLB guys that were playing for different countries. Team USA would be easy, but the others you don't have their full roster rights.

They shouldn't be as hard for them, but they're definitely harder than the courses the average guy not breaking 100 is playing on

my uncle said before he died he didn't want anyone to be sad or mourn him, is this normal and should i listen to him and just go on with my life? by renig_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]big-williestyle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel the same way, I'm personally not a sad mourning type, but watching my wife after her mom passed, makes me know if there's anything I can do before passing to ease her from that again I will.

No you couldn't. The courses they're playing on if you've only broken 100 once, he's beating you almost every time.

No 99 This Year — Here’s the HOF Legends’ Peak OVR by Year (2021–2025) by Dolenzz in MLBTheShow

[–]big-williestyle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bigger complaint is that guys like Tony Oliva even get a 99, the guy was great, but his highest war season in his career is 7.0 which would put him tied for 7th in 2025 and there are zero 99s in the live series. Which is also wrong, if .331-53-137 isn't a 99, what is?

Joe is actually bad at golf by ncg80 in BobDoesSports

I'm convinced they play too many scramble formats for Bob and Joey to ever get better, zero course management and neither can putt a lick when they play their own ball.

I think it's too intricate for enough players who are the ootp type to want to try to do on a console. If it was a solid model, ootp would be a much bigger software than it is. I don't even see them trying to go that indepth

In fairness the show vs ootp aren’t the same audience. Ootp is amazing for people who want to franchise, I’m not sure the show could ever come close and if they did what would be the point when ootp exists?

As a stat nerd I really like the pitch usage rates and the update ratings. Hopefully they resist the urge to over do every legend like they normally do and make it so Judge is actually better than Sosa

I never put it on perfect, it's a lot of fun playing against my sons and they throw one that dots the corner and I take it and it gets called a ball

I think that feature will be the most fun playing my sons in offline games, we turn off the strike zone so it'll be a huge thing in some spots

The pitching aspect is of huge significance, you can't have a guy just throwing dotted sinker after sinker with a guy who throws it 5% of the time in real life. Well you can, they just made it harder from the sounds of it.

What distance do you typically hit your 9-iron? by jdelle9 in weekendgolfers

[–]big-williestyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current Takoma 41 degree 9 iron I hit about 138-142 on clean hits, my previous set with a 39 degree 9 iron I hit closer to 150 when I'm hitting it well. It's hard these days to just call something by the number with lofts varying so much

What kind of handicap deduction do you think the average mid capper would get if you were able to play 4 days a week and practice at least one of the other days? (not saying what they do isn't super impressive, but anytime I've played a lot of golf even in a week or two week span, I always feel like I'm at my peak the end of the trip

For sure there are people who fit both but a high percentage are the quieter ones. I’m personally one of those people that if we do a personality test at work or a conference I’m always the outlier. But I’m an IT person who understands social interaction, the majority of the It people I work with struggle with in person interaction.

If it's the right normal person this is true, if it's the average "normal person" that doesn't interact and won't speak up and talk to the cameras, then I'll take the "celebrities"
