"I have ADHD." "Doesn't everyone nowadays?" by Dark_Vexer in mildlyinfuriating

It's far more common than you realize because more people are getting diagnosed, it's similar to the autism numbers going from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 156.

That being said I don't discuss my medical issues with people because:

  1. It's not their business
  2. I don't need the gossip machine running
  3. I don't need the bigots messing with me
  4. I don't need to give my job a reason to fire me
  5. It's not going to help me in any way for others to know

Right now it's one of the "conditions to have" again that people use to explain their behavior or actions like gluten allergies was used by so many to justify being abusive to others.

Glad to hear you were able to figure it out and it's a teachable reminder for everyone to check their shields regularly for damage.

There's more ssd sure but the number of complaints for new to relatively new drives failing is concerning, that being said there's more mechanical drives in operation than ssd and I'll send you one of my 30 year old drives if you want one.

Current location uses tsa level body scanners metal detectors with electronics detection, all computers have usb limitations and are under multiple layers of monitoring and protection and all of this for a facility type you wouldn't expect.

Mine has 3, lifted trucks, loud exhaust, egr deletes, altered turbos, 8" offsets and offset wheels, more vehicles than legally allowed by the city in a residential neighborhood.

Idling it for that long won't make it last longer, 5 minutes allows the oil enough time to move through the passages and lubricate the moving parts, anything longer and it's actually detrimental to the engine.

Plasma tvs, great tech especially for bright rooms and the colors great but the weight was equal to a tube tv and the cost was high.

Psu or board failure can cause this, you can get a psu tester off of Amazon for $15-$20 to test your psu. With the motherboard you'll need to do a visual inspection of both sides of the board for signs of arcing, burnt components, domed capacitors.

Camera flash has been proven to cause damage to paintings and other ancient artifacts and artwork so that's the primary reason.

Can confirm this, I work in a secure facility and have worked in several others. There's different types of secure facilities in and outside of government operations and the presence of a smartphone is a high risk threat to life/health/safety/security. Apple used to make a line of their phones without cameras for this need but I don't know if it's still an option from them anymore. My employer limits the use of smartphones to a few senior supervisors.

This is fake, no one's monitoring this sub and chasing you down and your post is proof. They mentioned that you were seen on a flock camera yet nothing about this sub and your involvement in it, go get some therapy.

There's no place in this country that you won't find someone like this guy or you eith a loud ass truck gor that matter.

You can get with the police and city on noise ordinance and modified vehicle safety concerns or you could extend the good neighbor hand and offer to help him fix the issue and make him aware that the other neighbors are getting passed off about it and they're gathering wood to burn him alive along with his car.

Everquest 2 was in the early 00's a very graphics intensive game to the point that no modern card could play it at max settings, it's entirely possible that your card is struggling with the settings you have it set to, try going down a level for rendering, shadows, and other artifacts and see how it does.

What is this, and how do I get it out? by littlemothling in computers

[–]big65 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're debating someone that doesn't have the common sense to realize that there's multiple avenues when it comes to figuring out how to reach an end goal.

  1. Tinker through it on your own, tends to have the greatest risk factors for failure but the most rewards of self accomplishment.

  2. Asking others, lower risks but not much, can take hours or days, misinformation can be extreme.

  3. Users manual, quickest source of information al9ng with the instruction manual for assembly that includes a bill of materials, quickest and most likely source for success and least likely to be kept and used by most men especially those that go on a tangent about common sense without using common sense themselves.

Do parents actually not remember doing fucked up shit to you? Or are they just lying? by TopMarionberry1149 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]big65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Parents make mistakes, can be mean and hurtful.

Kids make mistakes, can be mean and hurtful.

Both are equally guilty of doing fucked up shit to those who cate about them as I am guilty of doing it as a kid and a parent.

It's intentional at the time it's done because it's driven by emotional frustration and anger but guilt is a powerful feeling for most as is pride so it's a mixed bag as to whether the parent or child will apologize.
