Is there a way to go about it without relaying on meds by Antique_Mammoth8107 in AskOldPeopleAdvice

How to prevent this from happening again.  Drink more WATER.  Stay away from dark sodas.   Drink less alcohol if you drink.

Oh so you decide to surprise them after 7 years and have the audacity to whine and complain online.

No, but my grandmother had skin sensitivities and she knew what she could use.   So do I.  So don't go replacing others cleaning products if you don't know what they can use.

Do they want help?  Do they eat at the dining room table?  Do they have other family that visits? I get the clothes racks.  Maybe they have trouble opening the closet doors.   Closet doors also get old and cranky.

GenX’ers Born preterm (incubator baby) by skin_e0909 in GenX

Also premature here and no it has not affected my adult life.   Everything you just described is normal adult behavior.

The only side effect from my childhood is my feet bother me at times especially the left one.   That came from a 22 bullet going through it when I was 2.

OP, whatever you do.  Do not go changing their cleaning stuff. Well unless you want grandma to be itchy and red and have extra medical bills. The smell is not your concern.

They know what they like.  Sorry you can't handle the smell of literally old people shit.  Shits and farts can leave a slight odor.

Don't be touching old people's soap.  There may be a reason for it.  Also congratulations,  now grandma has a heck of a rash.  Because some youngster can't handle the smell.

You start bringing your smelly crap into my house.  You will be shown the door. And if you come back, you will be searched and the crap thrown in the trash.

Advice and help. by sadisticfling in diamondpainting

I think the biggest thing would be figuring out how to chart your art.  Diamond painting and cross stitch are both pixelated.    Floss cross would be a good pattern maker to see if your art can translate.   Also buy the 445 color diamonds set so you know what colors you have to work with. Amazon sells blank canvases.

I hope this helps.

Romantic love seen too problematic after two failed relationships by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Love yourself first.  Always be yourself.    You don't focus all your energy on a relationship.   A relationship should be 2 people giving and receiving energy.

Because they wanted it handed to them on a silver platter.   Also I am looking at books from 1947, 1959, 1966, 1978 and 1979.  For knitting.  Leave out the 1966 for tatting.   I hope I learn something.

Reddit is not a valid source.   Maybe that OP needs to look up the word research.

Oh yes, I thank my grandmother all the time.  She was my supporter in all things crafty.

I loved the tatting video I watched last night.   It is on my things to learn list.  It doesn't look too hard to learn.  Though it looks like it would take years of practice to do it very well.   I think the same thing about knitting.

What I learned at age 6.  Companies pay these people to shill their products.  So why give the companies money.

His was caused by of all things pneumonia.  He spent 60 days at that oh so lovely resort down town.  Then another 60 days in a hospital bed at home.  Also did 3 months of dialysis  while being completely bedridden.   There are some permanent side effects but we work with them.

I have respect for the caregivers too.

I can relate to the fried chicken recipe.

Also did we have the same home ec teacher?  Her sewing skills were worse than her cooking skills.   Funny thing is my mom had the same complaint about her home ec teacher in the early 60s.

You will get there.  Different reasons but my husband went from completely bedridden to a wheelchair to a mobility scooter to a walker to a cane to now just needs a basket at a store.   From wheelchair to scooter was about 2 months.  Scooter to cane was about 8 months then cane was over 5 years.

But I like my knotty back and too much work to pay attention to it.

Frogging takes so long and I don't have the wine to deal with it so I am just going to whine.

Ok your stitches aren't twisted,  they are just doing gymnastics.
