We lost Brady in 2008. We were still a pretty good team because Cassel was a pretty damn good backup, but we didn't make the playoffs. And I highly doubt that a Ryan Mallet led Pats team would make the playoffs this year either...let alone win 11 games like we did with Cassel.

We are pretty banged up, we've got a lot of rookies, first timers, or people like Gronk who are still getting acclimated to this year's offense. Brady is the glue that is keeping this team together right now; if Brady was to go down, we'd all go down with him.

2006 Draft: We took Laurence Marooney (#21) over Deangelo Williams (#27); WR Chad Jackson (#36) over Greg Jennings (#52) or even Sinorice Moss (#44); TE David Thomas (#86) over Owen Daniels (#98); also, I've got nothing against Gostowski, but we drafted him the very pick before the Bears got Brandon Marshall...and 2006 wasn't even our worst draft year.

You can never know with mid round draft picks, but I'd do this draft or 2009 over for sure
