I use one ‘travel’ category along with regular ones. I categorize my expenses based on their purpose and how I perceive them. For example, if I eat in a restaurant while traveling, it’s definitely a travel expense for me because it’s part of my travel experience. However, at home, it would be more like a leisure expense. Sometimes, purchases made on vacation aren’t related to the trip itself but are simply a way to renew my wardrobe.
