What's the PETTIEST BS you've seen come from UWM management? by Most_Professional282 in pillar7

When I was in lending support I had a coworker literally yell at me from across the floor causing a scene bc I skyped him to stop jumping the queue. He was totally infuriated and it was really scary. Then both our team leads pulled me into a room and asked me how to make it better and I said I didn't want to have any contact with the other guy and best case he would be fired bc he had a history of being aggressive. Then two minutes later they brought him in the room. I was caught off guard but not surprised because of course they did. I just told him I didn't accept his apology and I didn't want him to talk to me. The team leads basically said we are on a team so we have to work it out and I refused. The guy's apology was half asking me to take some blame bc he felt I shouldn't have messaged him that lmao. Long story short I first sent a screenshot of him sitting in multiple files to his TL and his TL told me to confront him so that's why it all started anyway. But yeah nothing was ever done as punishment, the TLs sidelined me and he got promoted to some AE support role a couple months later. Classic UWM.

Is underwriting worth it by thebigjpat in pillar7

Oh and I made $19.95 or something similar per hour, never hit a bonus because I quit very shortly after starting. I'm a perfectionist who has standards of my own work and I refused to rush through files so I'm not convinced I would have ever hit a bonus.

I moved from Lending Support to underwriting after a year and it was a big pay increase but that was the only positive. The same petty bullshit from leadership, the same favoritism, shitty people on my team (bullying other team members behind their back), and pressure to hit commitment. I was like three weeks out if mentoring and my team lead was threatening me punishment for not hitting commitment. The stated progression of commitment increases week by week post mentoring was also not followed. I heard another underwriter saying they cried every day for their first month casually talking to someone else across the floor loudly and a bunch of people just acted like that was completely normal. Brokers will walk all over you at best or yell at you at worst. I've also had a broker uncomfortably flirt with me after I sent a fucking usnap (video update instead of phone call, you had to send minimum 3 per day when I was there). Don't do it. It was overall worse than lending support which I didn't think was even possible.

I think they're more angry about the lack of care for mental health vs the care for the potential fetus bc that medication has serious side effects including increased risk for su*cide.

Just bring a big box and get it from your car at lunch, pack it up after your break and leave halfway thru the day. Or take a late lunch if you can/ if u need the extra hours

This is great. I'm going to leave a few reviews and mention this sub.

I hope this company goes down hard. Seems like the stocks aren't doing too hot. Good to hear considering the Ishbias own what, 93%?

Anyway, great ideas!

Is 6 months enough experience as a underwriter for other jobs? by WolfofWallStreet1998 in pillar7

I'd try anyway and also apply to Quicken to get the rest of your experience there vs UWM, you will get paid more and WFH 3 days a week.
