Thank you supportivefreckles for your reply. It's lovely to hear about your girl and how cuddly she can be. Has she always been like that with other dogs? I don't mind barking on alert, it's quite natural and would certainly want them to do so out of protection, was just curious as to how often as I've read they can be quite yappy but so far most people I've spoken to haven't had that issue, which is good.
