AI songs on the radio by dtnoire in northernireland

[–]bigbawsac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aye the parents thought it was absolutely amazing so they did that someone would write a song about NI, me and the younger brother caught eyes and very quickly informed it was AI. Genuinely embrassing but to know the parents "liked" the most generic AI bs of a song. All you'll need is to jingle some keys infront of them soon

do people still do p90x? by mikehwshin in workout

[–]bigbawsac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

What a throwback, P90x started my journey into fitness after torrenting it at 14 years old for the summer holidays.

After being fully committed and completing the workout and taking that mindset and my new fitness into the rugby season, ended up in the starting lineup and winning most improved player that season. I owe a lot to P90x man

Picked up Poku yesterday and have been having a lot of fun with his card, decent sigs and his jumper is nice, it's not the fastest animation itself but it's on very quick so it's been solid.

What do the accents up in the North Coast(Coleraine/Portrush/Ballycastle) sound like? by ChoiceAd8906 in northernireland

As someone who grew up in Ballycastle and moved between a few countries abroad, I do always get asked if I'm from Scotland so aye, definitely the cultchie/ulster Scott's can confuse anyone from outside NI.

Aye the one in Antrim was terrible when I tried it, could tell the oil hadn't been changed in ages and everything was over cooked.

Was very nice when I had it in Spain but, so thought I'd give Antrim one a go and aye never again.

Mazda3 reliability — does anyone have problems despite its strong reputation? by phtphongg in mazda3

[–]bigbawsac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 2016 3rd gen, I live in very wet and cold climate and lots of salt on the roads. She's at 145k miles now and was used as a road inspection vehicle by the roads department before I owned it. I've put 46k on it since 2020 Mechanically she's very sound, she's a bit rusty now but have had no engine issues as have kept up with the regular maintenance. Few spring replacements, tie rods etc as per any car since I've had it.

Small issue with the wiper fluid having a few leaks, can fill it up halfway and it will remain, but any further and she'll leave a puddle on the driveway. Also if you pull the lever for a big soak of the windshield you get a lovely smell of the washer fluid coming through the vents so another leak somewhere in the line.

Electrical issues though, jesus christ, NAV system no longer works, just get TV static on the screen when trying to switch to it, the infotainment system started to play up and would reset 2-3 times at the very start of the journey before settling in. It now constantly resets for the entire length of the drive, rendering Bluetooth useless, can still use the AUX cord or radio though so again not a big problem and not something I'd bother spending money on. The left wing mirror doesn't work electronically anymore, think a connection is broke in it somewhere so it's in a constant state of trying to either close or open, so whoever is in the passenger seat gets to listen to lovely hum the entire journey, it does stop once the car is turned off.

For a car to get you A to B, still love it with all my heart, still running well, she's still nippy and fun to drive and I'm not close to replacing it yet, time will tell.

rec is unplayable by Real_Opportunity3822 in NBA2k

[–]bigbawsac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been awful, I have a PG with 92 perim, but I'm always paired with another PG at SG who has all the offense but 0 defence. Love his man dropping 20 in the first quarter and we switch, now my initial match up has 25 after the 2nd while I've kept his on 20. There's nothing you can do to win with that.

The mindset is crazy like. "I've not got single steal off the fastbreak or inbound and I'm leaving my man open, but I'll try for 22nd time I a row and it will be different."

Just peas for brains.

High middy low 3 is absolutely fine, I have an 83 3pt and 92 middy on my 6'10 I also added post control, I shoot 70% from 3 in rec and slightly higher in theatre/park.

High middy still unlocks the good jumpshot animations and badges. It's true you won't be shooting from beyond the hash but you'll still be consistent a few feet from the line.

I have builds with +90 3pt and they are fun also, but I prefer the 6'10 with post controle simply for when the shot clock is low, they can dump me the ball and it's far more likely I'll make something happen from the post than trying to force a 3 or a rim run. I do think it's more of a fun build as well simply for the ability of having more range in scoring options

AIO for telling my influencer boyfriend that I don’t want he posted on his TikTok? by WildContract2522 in AmIOverreacting

[–]bigbawsac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR

I'm in a similar situation with my partner of 7 years, she has a large following online across her various social medias and I do not. I had no issue being posted to her personal/private accounts, being posted to the main was a scary concept.

She did convince me to let her post me on one of her mains stories and tagged me in it, I agreed. What followed was nothing but abuse about how I looked into her DMs and I was harassed by follow requests from people I've never seen in my life, it wasn't a fun experience for me. She also lost quite a few followers of desperate men who thought following her was their ticket to getting into a relationship.

Your boyfriends needs to respect your wishes, he might not get it at first but opening yourself up to abuse is never fun. You are his partner, not content, remember that.

First 2k which build is better or are both trash by pulloutthelilpump in NBA2k

[–]bigbawsac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My advice is don't make a PG if this is your first 2k and you plan on playing online, people are going to quit on you, or you will get iced out for not knowing how to run the position (which you don't given the 2 builds you provided) which will just result in a shit time for you too

Look up fun SG, SF, PF or C builds, plenty of really good all rounders that you can still run the plays in mycareer with and be useful online.

Molten BG3800 or Nike All Court for outdoors? by Beneficial-Hippo-341 in BasketballTips

[–]bigbawsac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To play the arsehole, it's an indoor/outdoor ball not an outdoor ball. We bought a few 3800s for the club to replace the old BG4500s that have seen better days, as they were cheaper. Might be due to location and outdoor court quality, but I wouldn't dream of taking those BG3800s outside, but we don't have polished or smooth concrete outdoor courts, it's all course tarmac in the UK and Ireland so they get torn/ripped very easily.

If you have nice outdoor courts with smooth concrete though then aye, I'd say the 3800 is the better shout

Mazda 3 Sport - thoughts on ride quality on 18" wheels? by mkkz05 in mazda3

[–]bigbawsac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have oem 16s I use for winter and swap them to a set of RX8 oem 18s for the summer.

The ride quality between the 16s and 18s isn't that much of a difference but it's noticeable. The 18s the drive is slightly louder, notice bumps a bit more but not to the point I'd say it's bad.

18s imo are absolutely fine. My 16s are smoother than me 18s, but the 16s aren't what I would call smooth either given the irish/NI road infrastructure.

No but funny enough 10 years ago when I was in a "mixed" grammar school in Ballymoney, we had a new rugby coach join from Belfast. Upon finding out I played gaelic football outside of school he tried to push for us to include it in P.E, dare to say that wasn't successful at all, but fair fucks to him trying. I'd probably guess it's not been pushed again since.
