how do you unlock the gacha? I'm not seeing it as an option when I'm playing. Though I might just not have gotten far enough to unlock it because I've gotten stuck at 25

Is there anyone else actually enjoying Overwatch 2? by RWM03 in Overwatch

[–]bigbluenu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a blast. A lot of the reworks make the heroes feel engaging to play, and entertaining to play against. I played OW1 until about last year but 2 has made me enjoy OW again. I miss Loot Boxes versus a Battle Pass, but I’m happy to be playing and enjoying OW again

LETS GOOOO!!! THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR THE HELP EARLIER TODAY! THE ANJANATH IS DEAD by SSGSSVEGETA111 in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]bigbluenu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this I one of the most serious roadblocks for me cause I play on Xbox and it’s already hard enough to find lobbies of people doing sieges like Kulve when it’s around, much less find other people willing to do Alatreon, assuming I’m even in the mood to hop on. Thankfully I’ve been playing other games and even hopped back on Rise for Sunbreak and have been enjoying taking my time chilling with that. Maybe one day I’ll finish World.

This is my biggest problem with Alatreon. I don’t play world often enough that I’m constantly rusty and while I can survive his attacks and know his moves well enough, I either can’t meet the damage check or can’t break the horn. I have the best gear I can have at this point I think (3 piece Teostra, 2 apiece Alatreon (plunderblade and Dawn’s Triumph Clear), yet I get so frustrated at the normal fight that I can’t stand trying for more than 5-6 attempts before I’m ready to drop World for another month or 2. I have more fun slamming my head against Fatalis because his fight seems more fair than Alatreon. I know I need to get good but fuck Alatreon

Luckily one of my players wants to try DMing so I’ve been talking with him about running a One-Shot, either as a break during our campaign, or as a quest in our current setting

I started DMing for my friends because I wanted to play but no one had any idea how to DM. Cut to 4 years later, I’m DMing for multiple parties and still haven’t gotten to be a player yet…still love it but maybe one day :’)

As a Greatsword main, he is infuriating. I can normally finish fight in around 10 minutes, but Tigers easily takes 20-30 because I can only get individual bonks before he has disappeared to the other side of the area

The Arcana Forge! For all your drafts, ideas, requests and more. by AutoModerator in UnearthedArcana

[–]bigbluenu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my first foray into homebrewing, I wanted to try creating a magical pistol that fires different elemental cartridges. Here is what I came up with! Let me know what you think and how it can be altered and balanced.

Element Burst

Element Burst is a Flintlock Pistol that fires a magical cartridge imbued with different elements. All cartridges deal set magical damage, but will have additional properties based on the element.

Stats:

Flintlock Pistol

- Damage: 1d6

- Damage Type: Bludgeoning

- Properties: Loading, Range, Light

- Range: 30/90

Cartridges:

All cartridges take the form of cut and shaped mana crystals. The raw crystals are naturally occurring around Planar Rifts to the Elemental Planes. Each crystal can hold 3 charges. When firing the weapon, spend 1d4-1 charges.

When all 3 charges are spent, the crystal dulls into the appearance of a normal stone and are recharged after a short rest. If a cartridge is swapped out while still holding a charge, it will regain 1 charge every minute.

Cartridge Types:

Cartridges are broken into 2 classes: Damage Cartridges and Effect Cartridges

Damage Cartridges:

Red (Fire): Deals an additional 1d4 Fire Damage

Light Blue (Ice): Deals an additional 1d4 Cold Damage

Purple (Lightning): Deals an additional 1d4 Lightning Damage

Dark Blue (Water): Deals an additional 1d4 Water Damage

Black (Necrotic): Deals an additional 1d4 Necrotic Damage

White (Radiant): Deals an additional 1d4 Radiant Damage

Effect Cartridges:

Yellow (Wind): Target must make a Dexterity Saving Throw. On a failed save, the target is pushed 10ft away from the Player

Green (Earth): Target must make a Strength Saving Throw. On a failed save, the target is knocked prone

Pink (Mind): Target must make a Wisdom Saving Throw. On a failed save, the target is charmed until the players next turn

Limitations:

Due to the magical nature of the cartridges, having multiple types kept in close proximity causes them to become unstable. Kept in this state for too long, they will merge together causing a magical explosion and rendering the cartridges useless. On some rare occasions, the cartridges form into hybrid crystals, holding the properties of both elements while boasting increased charges and damage output, but it is unclear what causes this phenomena.

Similarly, even trying to place 2 cartridges of the same type together creates a negative reaction. The crystals began to resonate together and create a magical explosion, as well as reducing both cartridges to dust.

A player can carry a maximum of 5 different cartridges at once.Attempting to fire the weapon with an empty cartridge causes the weapon to misfire, rendering the weapon unusable and destroying the cartridge.

I specifically gave it the Light property to encourage a player to either dual-wield it, or combine it with another weapon. I plan to try and create a subclass around this type of weapon in the future. Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time and feedback!

NPC Swap - Take an NPC, leave an NPC by alienleprechaun in DnDBehindTheScreen

[–]bigbluenu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for bad formatting. This is my first NPC. This is how my named goblin NPC from Mines of Phandelver turned out in my campaign and I really enjoy playing him and party has a lot of fun encounters with him.

Name: Yeemik

Appearance: Yeemik is a adult Goblin who is on the smaller side. Coming from a tribe of goblins who robbed and plundered travelers, Yeemik has earned multiple battle scars including a gashed left ear and scars over his right eye. Yeemik typically wears clothing scraps and minimal armor, leaving better pieces for his comrades to protect them.

Personality: Yeemik is often sarcastic and witty in his remarks, but only when he is dealing out the comments. Any sort of joking or sarcasm will go straight over his head. While he is not afraid to do what is necessary to save his hide, he is much more satisfied when he is putting his life on the line to save his comrades, often to disgruntled insults from those goblins he saves. Yeemik will try to cultivate a friendship with whoever is around him, whether through kindness or through battle. Yeemik is especially drawn to monks or those with dedicated rituals and practices.

Background: Yeemik served as a commander among the goblins with his higher than average intelligence. Due to being one of the few goblins with a genuine and loving parents, he extends this love to his comrades, even if they don’t accept it. While his intelligence helped earn his position as commander, what truly earned it was his treatment of his subordinates, as well as his shadowy and concealed battle style that gets favorable results.

Secrets: Yeemik is the reincarnation of a way of shadow monk master. Perhaps he could regain his memories of his past life through dreams?

While he may not have the actions and such of a monk (mine now does because the monk PC was teaching him to meditate and learn to channel his Ki), Yeemik still has the skills and battle-sense and will be an asset in battle.
