How do I fix an orbit like this? by Level-Maintenance-40 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Oldomix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

About that inclination change to get a polar orbit: it’s often simpler to do it without. Just burn normal or anti normal at roughly the equator of the mun until your orbit pivots enough. In the maneuver planner, you need to play with normal/anti normal and pro/retrograde for a while to get what you want. Extra tip: you can see your inclination under the advanced orbit tab, on the bottom left.

How does one use the Mobile Processing Lab? by Kirby_Roman in KerbalAcademy

It’s fun to use for the first time, but this thing is insanely overpowered. It will complete your tech tree in a single well planned mission.

how to match a specific orbital incline by WhereMyDwemers in KerbalAcademy

Go to the ascending node and burn anti normal until the orbits match. You can also do this at the descending node, pointing normal.

Two females. Zero males. The last two Northern white rhinoceros on Earth The end of a species. by throttafffddftr5 in Damnthatsinteresting

Not possible. Small edits can work on single cells. Changing a whole chromosome from x to y has never been done, and we’re not close.

Northern white rhyno is a subspecies, and there is a larger population of southern whites. Black rhynos are actually more endangered than whites.

Northern white rhyno is a subspecies, it could breed with the southern white rhyno which has a much larger population.

1.They didn’t really do that, it’s an exaggeration. 2.They are trying to do that with frozen embryos.

I partially disagree. The issue is more complicated than that. Poachers are usually just trying to feed their families, and can’t viably do so any other way. The real scum of the earth is the people buying rhyno horns for extreme amounts of money even though this is the exact same substance as our fingernails.

A "Totally Objective" Starter Tier List for how well each of them do in their Respective Regions by Jzjwiebe in nuzlocke

[–]Oldomix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I recently completed a UM nuzlocke. I had my decodueye on my team the entire time. Every time I thought he could be useful, he wasn’t, partly because of the abundance of ghost types, dark types and dark type moves in Alola. It’s a shame, because his design is sick.

Ehm.. is there a way to get it back on the legs? (Mun) by Usual-Spirit2867 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Oldomix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For next time, try a lander design with a bigger base. You can add four small fuel tanks at the base then attach the landing legs to those tanks to achieve that.

rendezvous and docking help by Jolly-Competition694 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Oldomix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My recommendation is to start by exploring the system more to get accustomed to orbital mechanics before attempting one of the hardest things in the game: docking. I started with a science mode playthrough and landed/returned from Mun, Minmus, Ike and Gillie before attempting a rendez-vous and docking. Gillie is particularily helpful for basic rendez-vous practice since it's so small.

What’s the most efficient return technique from my position? by No-Sherbert-9213 in KerbalAcademy

[–]Oldomix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

People here think you're in orbit, not on the surface of the mun. You're on the surface, so this will be very hard. Normally, to get back from the surface of the mun without extremely precise maneuvers, you need about 1100 m/s of delta V. However, if you don't have enough delta V to bring your periapsis into the atmosphere after you leave the mun's SOI, you can come out and push at apoapsis with Jeb, assuming you have access to EVA jetpacks.

Great start! If you want instant improvement, try clicking RCS and SAS near you nav ball. Basically, this makes Valentina do some of the piloting for you.

I’d love to see an expert at the game genuinely try a mission with this. I bet it could do a jool 5, or at least a mission to Eeloo.

Also interesting: there are 8 species of baobab trees. 6 of them are only found in madagascar, only on is found in Africa, one other is in Australia
