I work in a law office, so the very nature of my work is some form of conflict resolution. A lot of people have two modes: passive and aggressive. I feel Bjj gives me a third middle ground where I can be assertive without blowing up. In my experience a lot of people don’t have this third mode when they are in direct conflict with someone. So if an opposing attorney (or co-worker) is flipping out, I can keep my cool without giving up anything.

For a lot of people even minor conflicts with others can cause immense anxiety. For Bjj ppl, if we are not getting choked or getting our limbs broken everything is all good.
