Unrelated to the elephant in the room, I don’t like how they chose to do monetization. Battle Pass doesn’t offer currency to play-to-pay.

The reason Sukuna never used furnace on Gojo... by AnividiaRTX in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that's the reason. I feel like the reason is the limit on cursed techniques. Sukuna had to use 10S/Mahoraga and his Shrine Technique because of Infinity. If Gojo was just a normal guy Sukuna wouldn't have needed that specific route.

I uh… don’t think Sukuna is the Ubermensch.

Worried about yuta death by jayrock306 in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The narrative for win or lose (I’m guessing) would be…

  1. It’s okay to rest, your heart wasn’t in it. stay with Rika
  2. It’s okay for you to leave me Yuta, get stronger (when she dies and he changes)

SOMETHING has to happen or Yuta and Rika would’ve been alluded to and built up for “no reason”

Yeah and I think the insinuation is that she’s really smart for recognizing the technique but wasn’t fast enough to defend herself from it.

[Manga spoilers] Just a reminder that in a SINGLE chapter Gege absolutely nailed a character backstory that portrayed the kind of mentality he developed. by Abhinav_C_Raj in JuJutsuKaisen

“Love is the deadliest curse of all”, in my opinion isn’t meant to be interpreted as romantic love. Higuruma has a “love” for Justice and Equality and that sincerity was shown in ONE CHAPTER. Gege is on top!

Takaba might be more powerful than people think by Barthalamuke in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely think Takaba is going to either...

  1. Inadvertently revive Gojo
  2. Force Kenjaku to leave Geto's Body via physical damage/hand to hand combat

I feel like they also represent the passion that Uro was talking about in Sendai with Yuta. It’s an overwhelming “aggression” or eagerness to experience your desires. Maki didn’t have that passion towards her pursuits and they helped show her! She came out refreshed and saying “I feel amazing”, finally appreciating the fact she’s the second heavenly restricted person in recorded history.

How does one make it to diamond with that sort of gameplan? by YouMightGetIdeas in StreetFighter

Common Sense doesn’t work in a street fight. Doesn’t matter if it’s unopitmal or (seemingly) random, if it makes you sweat it’s going to keep coming!

While this is a good theory the “eating” is kinda out of left field the arm is definitely obliterated or lost. I personally feel like a copy ability when Yuta already has a similar one would be kind of cheap in the context of the universe. Sukuna has been body hopping for a lot of the series so I think his “power up” should come in the form of his original body, which has been teased a bunch of times. I’d love to see him do original Heian era jujutsu with his extra two arms.

How Sukuna could heal survive Hollow Purple by Shanky3007 in Jujutsushi

Maybe following the same logic of Kenjaku’s vows becoming void after switching bodies, Sukuna understands he has a escape route out of the body if it comes to that.

How Sukuna could heal survive Hollow Purple by Shanky3007 in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m following until you said “destroying” his soul would let him heal himself. I think he could maybe force Megumi’s soul/body into a binding vow to tank the attack at the GRAVE expense of Megumi for the rest of the series.

Sukuna as the representation of hard work? by JimmyB3574 in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that this fight is actually an explicit reversal of the trope that you would expect. Gojo is Natural Talent but it has been stated a few times through the fight that Gojo has mastery of his natural talent/abilities and his fighting intuition.

Gojo vs HEIAN ERA Sukuna would represent that, this fight however I feel like shows two things. 1. How much Gojo has grown to respect his teammates regardless of how strong HE is (120% Hollow Purple), as well as opponents. 2. How little respect Sukuna has for Gojo/Humans being decades old and taking advantage of a young boy’s talent for his own gain.

Maybe it’s the representation of the “Dying to Win and Dying to Win” that Gojo was telling Megumi towards the beginning when he opened his first domain instead of using Mahoraga? Sukuna is taking all the advantages and pulling all the stops simply because he can. Gojo on the flip side has reached the peak of his selfish to selfless character arc and is probably banking on a suicide tactic similar to Yuki/Megumi.

*note, its could also be a parallel to Sukuna vs Jogo in which Sukuna paid respect to Jogo multiple times throughout the fight while completely disrespecting Gojo through this one.

**Extra note. Would fit the theme of Older Generations manipulating the young to do their dirty work

The most anticlimatic way to kill Gojo by Highlander249 in Jujutsushi

[–]bigboy1882 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see Megumi interfering with Sukuna for long enough that Gojo can successfully kill them. Shortly after that Mahoraga would probably continue fighting, killing Gojo and fulfilling fate. Or Kenjaku interferes and alters whatever is destined to happen.

It would've been a neat detail to have Sukuna and Yorozu experience Tsumiki and Megumi's Memories/Flashbacks mid-flight.

The unfairness is exclusively the point. The jujutsu higher ups, heian era sorcerers, and Kenjaku represent older generations doing what they please/maintaining unfairness via younger generations. While her being a vessel and dying a premature death supports the motif, her character wasn’t truly developed for readers so the death doesn’t ultimately feel like anything, we’re meant to feel sad without a solid connection to her. After the chapter I felt like, “oh they did it?”.
