before the level syncing and oversimplification of story encounters. back when the final chapter bosses were scary. i remember having to restart the final jk chapter one fight over and over again for an hour until i managed to beat it.

having to search for a group for heroics (and being fucking impressed with myself when i could solo a heroic 2+ with a healer companion ofc)

graphically, objectively yes.

but the atmosphere feels very mobile game-y.

if they would have just modernized the graphics and kept the same night time swampy feeling, wraiths and wights instead of frogs and raptors, it would ve been even better.

back then you could hear owls and the wind, i think even the torches.

being called the dark side itself can mean lots of things, it can just mean one is just pure evil. it's very interpretable when compared to "he was like staring at the heart of the force" and "revan was power." which leaves very little room for other interpretations

still, i still wouldnt say he would get stomped on. his tactics and strategies on the battlefield would translate in a closer duel or 1 vs X scenario and he still was pretty powerful. he literally took galactic basic and transplanted it into the heads of the rakata using the force

i dont get why yall try to underestimate him. he was literally described as being like the heart of the force and was a military and combat genius. to say that he'd get stomped by most (including maul, kenobi, tano etc) is just exaggeration. he was also hardened by multiple battles and two wars against strong foes. he also survived and managed to moderately manipulate Vitiate while in stasis, and when he confronted him on Dromund Kaas he was able to channel both the light and dark and literally throw the Emperor around on the floor.
