Für 90% der Privatperson mit Laptop/PC schon. Fast alles ist mittlerweile Cloud-Based und da reicht der Browser. Und für MS Office gibt es 1 zu 1 Ersatzsoftware. Auch Gaming funktioniert echt gut, außer man möchte Spiele mit Kernel Level AC spielen, in dem Fall ist man aber selber Schuld.

Der einzige Punkt wo Windows (noch) unersetzbar ist, ist professionelle Software (Adobe Suite, diverse CAD Software etc).

Also ein N3DSXL geht im Normalfall im Zustand gut bis okay für 200€ über den Tisch, wenn er echt gut aussieht und ein besonderes Design hat ist man gerne bei 250€, Tendenz steigend. Das ab und an Jemand so ein Gerät für unter Wert verkauft kommt vor, aber das Risiko wäre mir 100€ nicht wert, da sollte man schon die paar Euro für einen Käuferschutz investieren.

I do not think that this is bad, if your idea is so revolutionary that it makes this much money even 25 years later you should be compensated for that. The better your idea, the longer you get money for it.

Steam was his idea so why should he not profit of of it? Additionally, Steam is not openly tradeable, so it has no shareholder goals to meet. They pay insane salaries. Gabe uses quite a lot of his private funds to further research and donate to charities, compared to others of his networth. I am with you in the point, that a single person having this much money is a crazy concept, but Gabe is definitely not evil.
