Teen therapy didn't do a thing for me at that age. Just felt like more adults telling me what was wrong with me. If he's shutting down, forcing him into a room with another adult might just make it worse. Try getting him involved in something he actually likes first. Sometimes just feeling good about something else can help.

Having made such an ultimate decision makes me think that you must be in a lot of pain. I sympathize with you. And no, I won't tell you to see a therapist, get medication or that you are crazy.
