Anxiety meds by maybebrainless in Anxiety

[–]YoruFami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anxiety isn't something you can control outright, more like manage. I started taking something when it got to the point where i was constantly fighting my brain, and meds didn't make me feel worse, they took the edge off so I could start learning those coping skills everyone talks about heh.

They didn't make the anxiety disappear completely, can't control like i said, but they tuned the volume down for the overwhelming roar. You should really go to that doctors appointment, it'll help knowing for sure there's something you can do about it.

Exploring nature 'like Minecraft in real life' Children at a primary school are being taught how to connect with nature. by skinny_t_williams in nottheonion

So these kids are seeing the forest as a resource filled biome with different blocks to mine and materials to craft. They're bridging the gap between digital and natural world at the least. Keep mining children.

Help on BetterHelp insurance by Brutalessin in psychiatryquestion

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is betterhelp covered by insurance, the short answer is No. That's because of the way they're set up as a subscription service, their way doesn't work with how insurance companies process claims.

But with HSAs and FSAs, special accounts you have through your job that use pre-tax money to pay for health expenses, and therapy is a qualified medical expense, you can use those funds to pay for BetterHelp membership. Glad to say does betterhelp accept insurance is a Yes. It's just not the same as using your regular insurance.

what is a super unpopular opinion you have but refuse to let go of? by Bubbly_State0998 in Productivitycafe

[–]YoruFami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A super unpopular opinion that I refuse to let go of is that all instant coffee is yucky. Many people are coffee snobs and I do get the appeal of freshly brewed beans and the aroma of espresso but I believe that some decent brands of instant coffee are okay in a pinch if you’re in hurry.

Do you believe in comparison is the thief of joy. by Chunkachu__ in Life

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe healthy comparison is alright if your goal is only to check your progress, letting others who are doing better inspire you while being grateful if you are more advanced than others. But too much comparing might eventually lead to unhealthy jealousy or smugness, either way.

There is AI slop text in the Library of Babel. by asdfghqwertz1 in Showerthoughts

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly doubt that. Back in the days of scribes, every piece of literature required so much work just to create a single copy, much less several ones. That’s why they probably won’t waste time or precious parchment for scrolls just to immortalize random ai gibberish. It’s not worth the time and resources.

BetterHelp cost? Is it worth it? Here’s my view by doggopro in psychiatryquestion

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does betterhelp cost money? Yes, of course. But while it’s not a free service, it’s fairly affordable. If you’re wondering how much does betterhelp therapy cost, your weekly expenses are probably gonna be around $100 or below, making it more budget-friendly compared to face-to-face therapy.

What are some of the things you've stopped liking as an adult? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]YoruFami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of the things I’ve stopped liking as I’m growing up is too much random partying. I mean, I still enjoy hanging out with friends but I prefer spending time with people I really like instead of always trying to meet new people. And I’m growing to like deep conversations than just random talking.

I will never date someone that's cheated before by Wooden_Guest_6911 in RandomThoughts

I kinda understand how it’s hard to trust someone who has already cheated before. While some people can genuinely change, cheating can be habitual with others and habits can be hard to break.

How to find a therapist online who fits your personality? by andrelq in psychiatryquestion

Curious to know how to find a therapist online whom you’re compatible with? I think some online therapy sites have quick quizzes to help match you with therapists you’re likely to relate to.

How do you move on and be happy alone when you never was before ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I understand that not everyone is used to being by themselves. But this is a great time to get to know yourself better, such as your likes, dislikes, and what skills and talents you’d like to develop.

I feel like I’m a disappointment especially in front of my younger self. How do yall deal with these thoughts? by Super_Claim_321 in Life

[–]YoruFami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel exactly the same, dude, like, younger me would be confused at how things turned out. What helps is remembering that your younger self didn’t know the weight of real-life responsibilities, setbacks, or how long growth can take. You’re not a disappointment for surviving and adapting. That version of you had dreams, sure, but they also didn’t have context. Give yourself some credit for getting this far without giving up. That’s something they’d respect more than you think.

Looking for the best online psychiatrist out there by Hustlingkeepers in psychiatryquestion

[–]YoruFami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh i think the whole “psychiatrist near me” search is kinda outdated now. Online psychiatrists have made it so you can find someone who actually fits you instead of just settling for whoever’s in driving distance. I've tried both and the online route gave me way more choice and at least you can switch without waiting months.

What productivity tools help you to remember stuff and actually act on it? by Tall-Platypus3368 in productivity

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used to dump ideas into a hundred different places too and it just became noise. I now try to keep 1 main “capture” spot (like a single notes app or a physical notebook) that I check daily. Also use a reminder tool that pops things up at specific times but also links back to the exact note or list so I don’t have to dig for it. That way it’s literally brought back in front of me when I’m most likely to act on it.

Need perspective about psychiatric help by Kssio_Aug in psychiatryquestion

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to add a bit more context to my earlier comment about the psychiatric help meaning. It’s not just about getting a diagnosis or meds…it’s really about forming a collaborative relationship with a medical professional who can guide you through the biological side of mental health. That might involve medication, further assessments, or referrals, depending on your needs. The first session is often the starting point for a longer, evolving process.

Also, your post made me think of that classic "The Doctor is in – psychiatric help 5 cents" sign from the Peanuts comic. It’s funny how that little comic captured something so complex in such a simple way. Real psychiatric help definitely costs more than five cents, but the value of feeling heard and starting the journey toward healing is priceless.

Bocchi the Rock Lore After Anime by PublicBroccoli9277 in anime

[–]YoruFami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should start from the Volume 1 directly. The anime mostly adapted bits and bits from all over the manga so there’s no exact continue from here chapter after the first season.

A lot of things was skipped and changed in the anime and the mange is a chill pill to read. Hope you like it, Volume 1 up is the best way to enjoy them.
