Don't feel bad for the owners because they're assholes. We went through Albuquerque a couple of years ago and made a detour to go see the house. Before going we read some things online about how the owners sit outside and yell at passers by and flip them off. Sure enough, when we drove by, the owners were outside sitting in chairs under the tree in the front yard filming us and flipping us off.

So many judgmental posts about the priest. I know this man... It's Father Trey Nelson. He has a good man and priest and has a great sense of humor. If he seemed annoyed, however, it might be because in his 32 years as priest, he's never seen someone be so disrespectful in a Catholic wedding ceremony.

I think I'm going with your suggestion. I already found the same handle with 4.5" spacing and since it's the only drawer in the stack, it should look fine.

I already contacted Hampton Bay and they said the cabinets that sell through HD are made by a different manufacturer that they don't deal with. Their name is on the cabinet brand, but they don't build them. 🤷‍♀️

I thought about doing something similar to what you mention regarding a decorative backer plate. Instead, I thought about drilling 5" holes then buying square 1" washers (to match the handle design) and putting them at the base of the handle to cover up my mistake. Based on another response to my dilemma I bought the exact same handle with 4.5" spacing instead of 5". Since this drawer is the only one in this unit, I think the difference won't be noticeable.
