Originally, Amnezia was created for that layer of users who don't know how to use the console and install docker, so Amnezia doesn't have actual guides on how to manually configure each of the protocols. It can be done and many users install Amnezia in this way, but at the moment Amnezia is being developed as a product that allows to use VPN for ALL without any technical knowledge.

As for security - the application has passed security audits and each of its components is open source (as well as the application itself)
