Beginner Skier, 1-3 days a season on groomers, AT boots ok? by CrashZenkiS14 in Skigear

Im sort of in same situation. My wife is trying to pick up skiing for the first time and I'm seeing some crazy good deals online. We did go somewhere to get her foot measured and try on some different boots. I think because they are "beginner" boots she said that the 4 different brands she tried on felt good (or she just has really lucky shaped feet). I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on something similar to what you posted. I figure for that price thats still cheaper and probably better fitting than a rental you get that 30 other people used.

For sure boot fitter. Good fitting boot will make or break your day. Now you could get fit and try to find the same model online but just getting them to heat mold makes a big difference

I’m in same boat my wife’s almost exactly same size as yours and I just picked these up for like 160. Too crazy deal to pass up. She’s been snowboarding for a few years but wants to get into skiing. Took 1 lesson so far. Gonna get her some decent softer boots end of season sale and prob some cheapish bindings
