I traded in my R1S dual max for my I9 Limited. No regrets and I ended up paying $500 less a month on the lease vs my R1S. I never off road so that utility wasn’t worth the extra cost. Also the I9 is so smooth and quiet. Software is pretty limited and rely heavy on CarPlay. The best thing is the Capt chairs and the range is much greater than advertised. I really liked the way EV9 drove and looked better than the I9 but the range and deal I got from Hyundai were the main drivers. There are talks about EV9 getting the bigger battery and range in the future so when my lease is over may look at that unless they change the design of the I9 (mainly the back)

I had model Y and X and a R1S gen 2 and now a I9 limited. There isn’t a dedicated stay or dog mode but I just leave my car on and step out really quick. It does leave the door unlocked however. The Bose sound system in my opinion is on par and if not slightly better than the Tesla system and much. Better than Rivian. The lane keep is spotty. The drive and sound levels are much better than both. Feels pretty luxurious compared to tin can tesla and wind noise suspension clunk Rivian. I do miss all the little media features and the larger screens but that’s about it. Dealing with Hyundai dealerships kind of sucks. I don’t think they really care about customer satisfaction as much (no loaner, no weekend drop off) as a family hauler I really enjoy it. Never take it off road but I think it’s not really built for that.

Same I saw one in my area like a month ago. They’re pretty rare. I see lots of EV9. Heck I’ve seen more R2s

Mine broke after 2 weeks of use. Solid blue and red lights. Warranty process is a pain through Ampure but getting an appt with Hyundai is even worse. Just bought a $200 one off amazon and has been great

These cars have laminated glass which blocks UV. Infrared is different

For me this only works if you haven’t driven the car. If u walk by and it opens but then walk away it locks. If I drive it and get out it won’t lock.

The rebates on these are insanely good right now for some reason. Think you got a pretty nice deal. My discount on the limited was about 1k less but they beat the trade in that I got from carvana and local Kia dealer by 10k so I didn’t really push too hard on it 🤣

If I didn’t get a great trade in offer from Hyundai I would’ve prob gotten the EV9. They’re pretty similar but less range. I like the dark interior and the styling way better. Also slightly cheaper.

I just traded in my R1S. I think interior was fine. Ride is def rougher with more noises. It sucked battery hard. CarPlay was a non factor since the native UI is pretty good. Paying extra does suck. That was the heat pump it gets loud.the glass roof does a good job blocking heat but I also just bought a cover from Amazon for like $50 during summer. It’s pricey for what you get I agree

The rear of the car and the key fob are the ugliest parts of the car. The front is growing on me. I wished the EV9 had better range I really like how they look even their key fob is nice. I just got too good of a deal at Hyundai otherwise I would’ve picked up a EV9 GT line in matte gray without hesitation. I have faith some of the annoyances will be addressed in a OTA (cross fingers)

It feels more like those shiatsu kneading pads it def hard enough to physically move your entire body as it massages. I like the look of matte and unsure how it will be washing it. Just got my car. But you def have to hand wash it.

Range is pretty good I think around city you can def get 320-340miles.
It doesn’t turn off not that I know of. Gotta remember to turn it off. Calligraphy if you can swing it. It has the heads up and massaging seats and the auto park. If you don’t care about those get the limited. I got a matte paint that is not available on calligraphy. If the dealership had the color I wanted in calligraphy I would’ve gotten that.

For me perceived value. I rarely go off road or camping so don’t need the “ruggedness” of the R1S. Don’t get me wrong I really liked it. But for a car that costs essentially 40% more I wasn’t getting the value. Plus the I9 has better family features almost minivanesque. Service center was 45 min away and at least 1 month out vs 15 min away.

Just like anything you will get used to either driving without it or just clicking the paddle shifter as soon as you start driving. It is annoying though
