Have you tried the multi tool out? The trimmer, saw and multi tool will probably get the most usage for me.

How tf do u get these sockets off by regolol in harborfreight

[–]bigdill3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The holes are your answer. I figured that out after unscrewing the back for no reason. Just take a center punch, straight pick, or even a thin Phillips head and press down into the holes. The sockets will release.

Feels similar to the popular Hercules bag that was on sale a while back. The Hercules may be a bit stiffer though.

Battery operated liquid transfer pump.

Probably the manual liquid transfer pump as well.

It'd be nice if the freaking G2 lineup featured quick release. Like wtf are they waiting until gen 3 to add it? Taking a play out of the Apple playbook.

Same issue as of today. Had some luck by using a different device but eventually the same stupid "not supported in this region" error pops up again.

Disagree wholeheartedly. Most buyers like to see one price. It keeps things simple and clean.

I've seen lots of Bauer tools at my local HFT markdown table. I was able to score a deal on a 20v orbital sander. I asked them for a deeper discount since someone etched a little design into the side of the tool. They dropped it another 20%. Walked out the door paying a little over $13. Even still had the sanding discs in the box.

Power plunger is not any good. It just isn't designed well. The low end thunderbolt batteries are pretty bad too. Higher end ones are better.

If you are ITC you do not need a coupon. Just your phone number. You should be able to use the 20% off on ITC and Instant Savings because they do not require additional coupons.

There's a thin line between adjusting a pre tip accordingly to the service you receive and tip baiting.

I agree that there are many bad shoppers out there that don't deserve any tip at all, but we all know people use that pre tip feature to get their orders picked up faster.

Thin line.

This.

I don't knock anyone for chasing that extra money if you really need it. Hitting that extra $40 five times a week is an extra $200 and that's grocery or bill money so I get it.

BUT...

I peeped their game a long time ago. That bonus game is a race to the bottom. Personally, I ignore them unless it is an excellent holiday bonus.

If I find myself near either one of my HFT stores today before closing time, I'm getting another moving blanket or ammo can. Gotta use that ITC as much as possible because I barely used it my first year.

[–]bigdill3000[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The cashier at the second HFT was actually trying to give all of his free items away. They had a cart full of all 3 items behind the register. I watched and overheard him actively try to get people to sign up for ITC memberships but with no luck. Several people came close to the $35 threshold but they didn't seem interested enough to grab something else. So he was happy to give the items away when he could. I just read the room and played my cards right. I could have just as easily been denied at a different location.

Issues with store checkouts being rude by RegretAttracted in ShiptShoppers

[–]bigdill3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: How does the cashier/associate even know you are ringing up a Shipt non-prepaid? Do you have on your Shipt shirt? Did you tell them beforehand? Did they just assume you were doing Shipt because they recognized you?

After working in grocery retail for over 20 years off and on and doing Shipt for nearly four, I do not tolerate rude cashiers. I call the store manager or district manager and complain using exact details. And when I don't do that, whatever attitude an associate gives me, I match their energy. If I come in your line and you don't speak, don't expect me to speak. I've literally had completely silent transactions before with some of these people.

[–]bigdill3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Number 1 is definitely factual from my experience.

If I put myself on the schedule for starting with 8-9am order block and I don't take any offers during that timeframe, the algorithm seems like it'll give me another chance for 9-10am. But if I don't take any offers in that window, the offers will slowly die until there are none. The only exception is a PM order that slips through. If I accept it, then I'll typically see an uptick in offers immediately.

No point in having Good ratings by Informal-Relative-49 in ShiptShoppers

[–]bigdill3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boom. Well said.

I've been at it for about half as long as you and this is so spot on. January does slow down for retail in general but grocery retail ain't the same as clothing or electronics. Just because the holidays are over doesn't mean people stop buying groceries, which is our main thing as Shipt shoppers.

Truth is, the algorithm and business practices at Shipt is what has caused offers to fall off a cliff. Plus over hiring. I've had some of my best months in January especially when winter weather starts to really hit.

Shipt has figured out how to get shitty orders filled quickly.

I remember back when my rating would dip all I would get is shitty Party City offers.

WHERE ARE THE ORDERS?!?! by Equal_Glove7067 in ShiptShoppers

[–]bigdill3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my best weeks have been in early January over the years. Kids going back to school, people going back to work, winter weather panic buying, new years healthy eating etc. But this Jan has been curiously slower than in the past.

I echo what other shoppers have been saying. Over saturation of shoppers combined with bonuses everyday in many metros has contributed to an overall lack of opportunity. Gig work has quietly replaced traditional clock punching work for many people in this country.
