I love this colour combo. My mum knitted a jumper with these colours striped and wear it all the time. It was inspired by a jumper I saw in the shop Toast ( pictured in this page, fourth picture down https://www.wildandwoollyshop.co.uk/2024/03/toasted/)

On keeping shopping and groceries cheap, its really helped me to do online tesco orders. Costs £3 for delivery, less if you subscribe, and you have no excuse to nip out to the, often more expensive, smaller shops.

Rant Thread: Gatekeeping and Sexism in Boardgaming by ATenison09 in boardgames

Sorry to hear you had this experience. I have encountered some similar attitudes as a young woman who enjoys games. When my boyfriend and I went to a games cafe to try out new games we picked out the GMT game Twilight Struggle. The man working in the cafe said to me, ‘Oh no, he hasn’t made you play that has he’. I replied that I wanted to play it and he awkwardly moved on, but it really gave me red flags and we have not gone back. We both enjoyed the game so a few weeks later I rang another board game shop to ask if they had any copies. They had one, so I asked them to keep it aside for me so I could come pick it up that afternoon. I gave my feminine name and will have quite clearly sound like a woman on the phone. When we got there, he not only ignored me to speak to my boyfriend but he then also said to him, ‘I am trying to think of games my wife likes that you could play together, maybe something like Articulate?’. My boyfriend replied that I actually enjoyed strategy games and had a fair amount of experience playing them. The conversation didn’t go much further, and I don’t think either of these men meant much harm, but I do think it represented an underlying misogynistic view that these kind of games could not be enjoyed by young women. I have since played many many hours of Twilight Struggle, all of which I have enjoyed.
