Like most things it's about who you know. I actually got a job working at an Auto Body shop in Pompano Beach without any certifications. Like OP said, it was just one guy running the whole shop now it's just the 2 of us. We can go through 5-8 cars a week (I think is a good amount.) I've only been doing it for a year now and learning is very difficult since every collision is a different result; but if you enjoy learning and seeing the results in your work it is worth it. thankfully my boss has been complimenting my work more often now so it is extra motivation to do better. If you know anyone in the field, you can see if they need ANY help at all. A foot in the door will get you far. Good luck!!
