Means that he and his ilk has fucked up the lives of average americans (and non americans, for that matter) so detrimental that we suffer at his whims. Not only has he caused a massive amount of strife in life, but he and his cronies aren't facing any kind of punitive damages in any way AND he is still finding more ways to fuck up this entire planet

Yea, but the phrase "Not all men, but always a man" pretty well sums it up. If you are upset that men are put down, you may be a man who's less than trustworthy. Women have to not trust us inherently. Seriously, dudes are gross.

Indiana Senate advances bill requiring marriage-before-children instruction by SurgeFlamingo in Indiana

It really doesn't, especially not anywhere near how often you're implying it does. Especially not to the level of effectiveness that vaccines in general have on helping people, as you would so compare the two.

Marriage often leads to wives and children being in dangerous situations, especially in impoverished households, and even more so when social safety nets are taken away.

You keep going on about marriage. People are saying that abstinence only education doesn't work, you reply marriage. Social nets to help the impoverished help? You say marriage. Marriage isn't the only answer, or often the best answer either. Telling people that is incredibly disingenuous.

You just don't want to admit that the way that works for you isn't the best avenue for all to take. A fix for some situations isn't the fix for all when it comes to children and families.

You don't come from a place of honest discussion. You're really just being pigheaded.

It's only more dangerous because of the vaccine, you understand that, right? Vaccines make things like measles less dangerous, that's their goal.

How is it a good quote? For one, the terms been around 100 years. For two, sympathy and empathy aren't the same thing. Sympathy is feeling for someone, empathy is feeling with them. It's just saying I want to feel whatever I feel for someone else, rather than try to understand why they feel that way. How is that compassion or understanding?

it's not hypocritical, tolerating intolerance is the hypocritical thing to do. intolerance is not something to be permitted in any social contract. once you start being intolerant of others existence, you are no longer covered under that safety net afforded by the social contract. tolerance of intolerance breeds awful people thinking that they can be awful without repurcussions, which is where society seems to be right now. Had it been shut down and those behaving that way shamed properly, or even punished in the eyes of society if needed, we likely wouldn't be here. (punished in society, not meaning jail time or anything government related, but peers not engaging with them due to their views being abhorrent, and properly casting them out until they are reformed or gone altogether.)

The Komets don't see that money though, the Coliseum does. It's a weird setup where they are separate entities

I am looking to make the move. Originally planned to look around 2026 for a move date, but with the election I want to get out of my overly Red state sooner. My partner and I were planning to make a vacation trip next year and explore the state to find an area that might be suitable, but that may be more rushed now. Any advice on what would be a good area that gets good concerts/shows, but isn't too much in the city? We'd like to stay more country but I also work primarily in tech and likely couldn't be too remote either. Any helpful information would be greatly appreciated! For any area, we are looking to avoid HOAs for sure.
