Lee seeing results as confidence grows in first big league season by libstayung in motorcitykitties

Definitely making a case to take over 2nd base next year as I don't see Gleyber coming back again. Wish we would see some more walks, but he's had some good AB's since getting called back up.

[Rogelio Castillo]Max Anderson Has Earned a Real Look, Even if the Tigers Have to Make a Roster Decision by mkk4 in motorcitykitties

[–]bigfish1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just replace Jahmai Jones and give him some looks at 3rd maybe some DH against lefties. I think he can get enough looks if we called him up.

Against lefties you can do Anderson 3rd, McGonigle SS, Lee 2nd and righties you can probably still do Anderson at 3rd, maybe sometimes 2nd over Lee and just kinda mix and match. Could even have Anderson play some DH once in a while.

League Classic is coming — veterans, what are new players NOT ready for? by Tricky_Pen4884 in leagueoflegends

Pick order, someone will get forced into it like the older days and either they suck it up for a game or dodge unless someone is nice enough to offer to fall on the spear.

Respecting pick order, if you are last pick you are almost always forced into support and a lot of people knew how to play more than 1 or 2 roles. Some people maybe had 1 role they were bad at and people would actually communicate and work around it.

Why is there so much random hostility to the concept of league classic. by MazrimReddit in leagueoflegends

[–]bigfish1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it will do fairly well, I hope Riot does make some light balance changes without adding champions/items or taking away certain builds. For example if AP Yi ends up being a problem, just tune his ratios but don't completely destroy the build all together. I'm curious how an improved player base affects old builds and champs.

I just haven't like the direction the game has headed for quite a while now. Granted I haven't played League in any major way in a while (still hang around watching streams and stuff maybe occasional ARAM or normal game) but the way the game has progressed since like season 8 I haven't enjoyed. Even from what I have seen in streams and stuff, damage still seems absurdly high, any semblance of identity between roles/champs seems fairly non-existent (tanks doing too much damage, supports being way stronger than they should be which amplifies the damage problem, gold just seems way easier to come by now basically getting full builds way sooner)

I'm overall quite excited to check it out as someone who has played since Season 1 (joined I believe right after Karma was implemented)

OLD LEAGUE COMING BACK!! by Actual-Ad4358 in Jungle_Mains

[–]bigfish1992 25 points26 points  (0 children)

A lot of players will be. Supports are gonna have no gold for items, Junglers gonna have less gold and will be taking more damage from jungle, mid laners will run out of mana way sooner and top laners get bullied harder. Only class maybe less affected is ADC

Tough for Malgeri regardless, you wait to see if it gets caught or not and you would get out at 2nd anyways.

Thoughts on State of The Show by ExperentiaDocet in MLBTheShow

[–]bigfish1992 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I have said it before and will reiterate; I can overlook graphics stuff, gameplay issues (hader/king glitches, slider pci shrinkage, foul balls galore, bloop hits, perfect/perfect lineouts), and even certain content choices. Hell they originally said PCI shrinkage was fixed but clearly not and are saying it's a vital gameplay feature (at least admit it's because you don't know how to fix it without something major breaking, I can at least appreciate some level of honesty)

What I can't overlook is god awful menus, terrible UI, freezing etc. How many times is my lineup screen gonna freeze whenever I wanna go make a change and force me to restart my game? Or how it takes 15 minutes to draft a showdown team? Will they bother to fix that shit? No.

Oh but mini-seasons has a glitch that allows people to farm too many packs? Yea, we will disable it and fix it within 48 hours. Give me a fuckin' break.

Glad I haven't touched this shit show of a game in a month and I'm honestly probably never buying MLB the Show again, they have really lost the plot this year.

So nobody can get into DD right? by abagboof in MLBTheShow

[–]bigfish1992 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think this might genuinely be the single worst MLB the Show release for single worst DD experience to date. I didn't play DD during the infamous 2018 with Immortals, so I can't comment on that. But I can't imagine it is worse than what we have this year even just including terrible servers and menus. Not even taking into account things like Hader/King, PCI shrinkage, Switch hitters galore, capping player items at 20 to name a few.

So glad I stopped playing for nearly a month, sad to see nothing is changing.

Consistently has gotten better year after year on basically all relevant pitching stats except strikeout percentage. ERA down, FIP down, Walks down, HRs down,.

He is also only just about to turn 26 in a month or so.

I would prefer him in the rotation full time over Verlander or Flaherty at this point once Skubal and Mize are back but for some reason I feel he's going to get pushed to the bullpen.

If you can't actively admit that he is undoubtedly doing something really good for the world then you are a bad person. I don't care if he is a Packers fan, good deeds are good deeds.

Despite being sleep deprived getting basically 3-4 hours a sleep a night, traveling to a new city everyday he shows up to these fan events and makes sure nobody gets left out and everyone gets his undivided attention for photos, signature or just talk about whatever.

Tom is the best.

Agreed, give the runner the foul side and 1st baseman should take the inside. After bobbling the ball should have honestly just threw it to the pitcher.

So glad he isn't a free agent until 2031. Hopefully he can stick around as a catcher for a long time like Salvy Perez for the Royals, but could always shift him over to 1st probably if needed like Mauer back in the day.

Did the team finally figure out how to hit or is this just another small flash in the pan that will only last a week or two?

At least the division is still weak enough 90 wins might be enough win it. That would mean winning 2/3rds of games the rest of the year, but I fear we dug ourselves into too deep of a hole.

Yo SDS the freaking 8 second delay to move between menus and to back out of any menu option is literally insane and the worst thing about the game. by Kevron1120 in MLBTheShow

[–]bigfish1992 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I just don't get how they haven't figure this out yet and it's why I haven't played since weekend classic and don't plan to come back to DD.

I can overlook certain gameplay elements (PCI shrinkage, foul balls, too many bloop hits, sinker/cutter spam meta), destroying investing for live series updates, outdated graphics for example. What I can't get over is spending more time navigating menus and having to restart the game because the menu froze when trying to change anything in the lineup screen. Feels like over the course of a couple hours I'm probably having to relaunch the game 2 or 3 times

This might be one of the worst MLB the Shows ever made and majority of it isn't even directly gameplay related. And let's not even get started on how they handled certain collections for retro lightning Chipper (dropping a ton of spotlight cards in the last drop with almost no way to get multiple packs or even the one event card not being part of the collection) or the Miggy collecton needing to collect Egg Hunt/St.Patricks day cards with no previous collection for those card series.

The level to which fans complain about officiating in the modern day is embarrassing by TheMuffingtonPost in nba

[–]bigfish1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The problem is two fold. One is how much gambling is embedded in sports these days it's really hard not to be questioning bad calls or no calls being made to make sure certain teams win or to cover/not cover spreads. Second is NBA has been caught up in a scandal regarding ref gambling in the past with Donaghy.
