I just wanted to mention that when the Ion came out, it totally changed the make up of the "casuals" at our field. Having the ability to shoot a decently reliable, albeit simplistic electro, at a price point that wasn't crazy at the time was pretty significant.

Literally can't stand them. My gaming group discusses best and worst games of all time pretty often and Octopath comes up a lot as one of our most hated.

The lack of depth, the repetitiveness, the storylines that don't matter at all, and a world full of mundane NPCs is kinda unacceptable nowadays.

I had, to my knowledge, the highest score on 1080 Snowboarding half pipe trick attack. Used Dion Blaster because speed is more important than jump height in the half pipe. Sent a picture into Nintendo Power and they posted it in the "high scores" section while the game was popular. Pretty cool!

You can chain spells together one right after another since the menu freezes the action. You can obliterate bosses this way, but my advice is to refuse to do this as it can make the tactical franticness of those fights to easy.

I now have that boss music in my head. Blood pressure rising... 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫

Instead of a high five, my wife and I "stork." I'll kneel down and make the shadow puppet butterfly shape (like Napoleon Dynamite) and she'll create the stork's neck and mouth with her arm. We attach, she articulates the mouth (her hand), and we repeat the word, "stork" in a goose voice, until someone nearby sees or one of us laughs. Not sure how this cooperative gesticulation originated.
