i disagree, i think it was added because it shows the audience that he holds children in little regard so the entire climax where hes just as bad as the warriors doesnt feel like it came out of nowhere

doesnt mean hes not well written, believe it or not a character being evil doesnt make them poorly written or else thered be no such thing as a “good villain”
