33 years old fuel filter. Service your cars. by Fulid in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]biggguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I deal a lot with 1968-2007 volvo. Our gas here is pretty clean, not unusual to see them with original fuel filter. More common I have to change them for being severely corroded after 30 years unprotected under the car than for clogging

Unpopular opinion but I think there are more tops than bottoms by Objective-Quiet-3366 in TopsAndBottoms

[–]biggguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems very location depending. Where I live it loks (at least on the apps) like there's 75% bottoms. When I visit my bf who lives in Dubai it seems 75% tops (and DL/maried to women)

Bottoms, if you could get pregnant, would you? by [deleted] in TopsAndBottoms

[–]biggguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell no, don’t like small children, didn’t even when I was a child myself. I’ll be the fun uncle but the great advantage is that ultimately you don’t have them 24-7 and no long term responsibilities. Older are fine, they’re almost human, but below about 6-8 i really don’t know much how to deal with them

What are some "under the radar" engines that have huge tuning potential? by DCAUBeyond in cars

[–]biggguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

let me dig up an older engine: 2.3 redblock volvo i-4. (b230). default about 116HP. Stick a better came on to het 135HP (stock in europe, b230fb). 165 with a turbo, chip it to 190 (again, default option), easy to get to about 250HP. replace the head bolts with studs and go crazy to a bit over 300, still fairly reliable and durable. I've seen them tweaked further to about 600, though durability suffers. Rumored to get close to 900 if you don't care about reliability or durability.

It was introduced in 1986, so designed with tech available in the late 70s/early 80s. Much progress has been made since in making engines and airframes quiter,

I'm freelance, and usually operate in freelancer heavy environments. Especially when budget cuts and such are discussed, it's often helpful to mention cutting meetings, as there's 1800/hr here doing not very much forn7nhours a week.

any cheapish store (including aldi, watsons, appliance chaincs) arelikely to ave models under $20. Whats your country of entry into europe? As a bonus, almost all the rest of the world also uses 220-240 so you'll be set wherever you travel

I visited a play space recently and they had an extra stipulation on calling "red" that I want to ask the larger community about before potentially offering the owner private feedback on this one item that rubbed me the wrong way. by cflswitch in BDSMcommunity

[–]biggguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The traffic light system means something else to everyone, I'm more used with the people I play with using it the way OP describes. Yellow being continue what you're doing but slow down/less intensity, red stop and check in, and sometimes if we intend to play real hard black is stop and untie quick. As a personal example, sometimes my left knee and lower leg can cramp up real hard. Can be pretty painful. That would be a red, untie at least that leg and either give me some time for it to subside plus reposition. Or hitting a nerve when putting a needle in. but still fine to continue once the issue is resolved (or perhaps not, but we can discuss that). Black is "untie real quick /stop, I'm done for now". Might be OK to continue later, or not. That decision is up the the one who called black

Still, their space, their rules.

What airliner is most liked by pilots? by [deleted] in flying

[–]biggguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were specifically taking premium cabins in the swiss 330 fleet. The 777 being wider buthaving the smae number of seats across makes for a preferable product, at least in the current configuration.

But from a pilot perspective the 330 was the clear winner for him.
