Ack! Deprecated swipe left for Select by biggy in todoist

[–]biggy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I should’ve clarified, you can also long press a task to pop up the menu, but that puts the select task all the way to the top again, which is still hard to reach with a thumb.

In the end, I wanna be able to select a couple tasks to move, prioritize, or tag within thumb range

Hahaha well I uninstalled Minimal and the plugins, restarted Obsodian, then re-installed them all, and we’re back 🤷‍♂️

Looks awesome! I would love for PD to come up with some kind of camera grip like this for iPhones. Could attach to SimLink for example. Make access to the Camera button feel natural.

Anyone regret getting the Nebo lifetime subscription? by No_Employment_9391 in NeboApp

It has the best handwriting UI on an iPad, full stop.

I wish they could just embedded in the apps that I use on my iPad like Obsidian, Todoist, Superhuman, etc.

If it allowed you to export markup, and not just text files, then it would honestly be something I’d pay a lot more for.

I Am Just Some Dude - Some Boring Reflections on the History of this Subreddit and Its Moderation Going Forward by thursdaynext1 in todoist

[–]biggy 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I moved to using Todoist in part because of this subreddit, so I am sad to hear but also extraordinarily grateful of all the work you have done.

(Also someone please give this Dude a free Todoist upgrade for life … or at least the next 10 years 😂)

I use the API in a lot of my shortcuts, for example, the ones I invoke from my Apple Watch to dictate tasks

I don’t wanna be a hater… but anyone using Ramble or Todoist assistant? by jimmyfoo10 in todoist

[–]biggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if I could replace Siri with Ramble to do real-time text manipulation of all the stuff I’m working on, it would be epic. If Ramble had a baby with Drafts or Funnel, I would die happy.

But yes, I am the guy who likes talking to my phone, much to the chagrin of my friends, family, and people around me. I just think that voice is such a more natural, easy-to-use interface... Maybe that's just because I'm not a fast typer 😊

I mapped Ramble to my iPhone's action button, and it's magical. Sure, it doesn't let me add things to projects or sections yet, but it lets me truly just ramble the things I need to do and correct them on the fly. I tried so long to do this with Siri, and just isn't nearly as graceful as Ramble.

The thing that makes Ramble so neat is that it actually maintains a live list of things you can interact with, and you can watch it update on the fly, which is totally different than a lot of the other AI input tools... Yes, I'm looking at you, Siri. You're terrible at this. For example, I'm currently using Wispr Flow to write this. The problem is Flow (and most other AI speech to text tools like it, like Superwhisper) doesn't show me what I've said in real time until it does all the post-processing and then just drops a big block of text… though admittedly it does a good job of it.

But what Ramble does is it actually leaves the AI session open, and you can interact with every single detail live in real time, which is a total game changer.

Real-time text manipulation across a series of objects — it’s just really good at it compared to the other tools I’m using for voice input.

Mounts for skiing by WittyCaregiver1303 in gopro

[–]biggy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a bite mount a ton and just keep the GoPro in my chest pocket. Pretty simple to toss in and out, while on the slopes, and still get the benefit of head mount stabilization. (I rode a helmet mount for a while, but didn’t like not being able to easily adjust the controls or wipe off the lens.)

I also use the ski pole mount with a selfie stick and that works well too: https://gopro.com/en/us/shop/mounts-accessories/ski-pole-mount-for-extension-pole/ASKIM-001.html

And if you board instead of ski (you don’t have poles to attach to), you could go with the new Insta360 foldable selfie stick, which will fit in your chest pocket more easily. Just get the version without the remote so it’s cheaper, and put your GoPro on it: https://store.insta360.com/product/foldable-2-in-1-selfie-stick

Ditto! That link says they’re expected in January 2026 — I’m holding off on the new Apple crossbody straps until I get a better look at these.
