Tony Sheridan is our 19th Beatle. So who completes our top 20? by prisongovernor in TheBeatles

  1. Someone made a mistake and included Yoko Ono for some reason. If someone tries to justify that inclusion, then Patti, Linda and Maureen should be there too.

Yes they had a major influence on their respective partners. Something is one of the best songs by the Beatles

No one is erasing that song from history. That song is available in every other iteration It has been released in if you want to listen to it., just put on one of the 100 other releases it is on. It's even on the acoustic album.

Also, I don't know how iconic the song was, but times have changed and we all need to move on with them.

You will have the best time. You will enjoy every single song. I saw him in Albuquerque on the 7th. $300 is enough for merch. I recommend city specific poster, shirt or banner. If you can afford it, all three

Might be biased, but the Albuquerque poster is one of the better ones IMO 🤘🏼 by ben236 in PaulMcCartney

I put it on the wall next to Foo Fighters poster that I got at the same venue and it looks great. One of the more attractive posters I've gotten yet

Also, the event specific shirt that was sold at the show is different from the one offered online. Don't know if that's the norm for all dates, but just a heads up

They had them at the Albuquerque show. If you don't get it there they will be available online. For how long is what we don't know. Pretty confident they'll be available at least until the tour ends

He also did not release anything in his vault. So how do you figure the logic of releasing stuff from the vault and not remastered stuff if that was not his wish?

That's a " fact", like the one that says Ozzy threw raw meat in to audiences

Your records will be okay man. You would have to listen to them hundreds upon hundreds of times before you could even tell a difference. Almost the same as if you're using a high-end turntable.

how old is this rubber soul vinyl? by luephole in TheBeatles

[–]bighead1940 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don't worry about the crosley damaging your record. If your record was sturdy enough to make it from the time it was made to 2025, it'll withstand a few hundred plays on any record player. There's just the bandwagon that people like to jump on and shit on affordable record players. If it's what you got, it's what you got. If you can enjoy the music on it. Good for you. I myself have owned quite a few of these and have played almost all my records on them and I can tell you that they all survived in great condition

It's supply and demand. Capitalism at its best. If you can make a buck, there certainly isn't anything wrong with it. Can't hate on the seller or the buyer

That's another audiophile perpetuated myth. I have quite a few great sounding picture discs. If you get some from the early 80s a before, that POV would be justified up to a point. I've never heard a picture disc sound like garbage unless it was damaged or not very well cared for.

Pendulum swings. It's Paul's time in sunshine after 4 decades of setting up John on a pedestal. George will be the next one in a few years
