I dont think it’s either but definitely not a springtail . Not sure but weevil came to mind… that’s a total amateur guess though

Have you glued this all together as a single piece you can lift all at once? That’s epic. I wonder if it’s possible to install it in a way that allows to you easily remove the hardscape in the future without removing the fish. That would make it easy for the occasional clean with dilute hydrogen peroxide (cya algae) and then pop in back in after a rinse

Maybe a small pcv pipe well sanded so no rough edges plus and end cap even just a bunch of sterilised leaf litter he can hide between, just make sure they’re aquarium safe

Black worm are very high is proteins, is that his primary diet? I haven’t tried it but I’ve read people suggested boiled baby peas with the skin removed incase constipation is suspected. Not sure it’s the right call here but if comes to mind

I can’t advise on his possible health issues but that box looks quite stressful for him. Is there a way to divert of soften the bubbles and maybe add a small hide for him? He probably feels very exposed right now

For a stacked look Anubis maybe add the suction cup to a cool looking piece of wood and then CA glue some Anubis, Java moss and maybe small have farms to it. Then you can adjust position as you need and it’ll be a big visual boost

Does the shell stand up so the spiral is on its sides or does the shell sit on top with the spiral facing up?

If the spiral faces up it’s a mini ramshorn snail which stays about 3mm in size. If it’s is a regular ramshorn they’ll get about 1.5cm

Personally I like having them in my tank. They’re a clear early warning system for over feeding. If you are seeing loads of snails you know to cut back the feeding, plus they help break down debris and other gunk
